Newbie here, and first-time MB Owner! Picked up a 2015 C-Class C300 last week with the Premium Package. No COMAND Navi, but it does have the SD card slot for the retrofit to Garmin Map Pilot (for $600). The dealership says they don't know when the SD cards will be available and I can't find them for sale anywhere online.

Does anyone know about the expected availability of the Garmin SD cards (for USA)?

Also, it's my understanding that the mbrace Mercedes-Benz Apps package ($14/month) includes TuneIn Internet Radio -- but I can't find any mention of any sort of data cap with it, so does that mean that you can listen to UNLIMITED TuneIn with this monthly package?

Have a question on Garmin Pilot SD Card... What p/n is for USA?
I found the following p/n A2059063302 - but not sure these are US maps...

That's the one, dimbmw! I just ordered one from RBM of Atlanta via Ebay a few days ago with the same part number and it works great! It's a 2014 version of the maps. So far, I LOVE IT! The Garmin GPS interface is so much better than any of the other OEM navi systems I've used.

I haven't loaded any POIs into the memory yet (except my "home" location). However, I've used quite a few of the voice command features using the existing POIs in the database and it's incredibly accurate. The POI database had a specific hotel that I was looking for in another city and found it within moments via speech recognition.

I did call about the Send2Benz feature last night and was disappointed to find out that it doesn't work with the Audio 20 equipment, nor do automatic downloads from the mbrace Concierge; you have to have MM/COMAND with built-in Navi for that feature to work. But in all honesty, the voice recognition is so good, all you'd have to do is repeat the POI name into the Navi system once you've hung up the call with the Concierge, so it's not terribly inconvenient.

(By the way, I also love the posted speed limit icon on the Garmin display!)

As far as I understand the garmin preparation is present in all cars. It is option 355, as far as I remember.

I ordered the SD card and waiting for it... So how do you activate the voice commands? Any button?

As soon as I loaded the SD card and the Navi system started, the controls were automatically enabled using the steering wheel buttons for voice command. Yet another reason why I was VERY impressed with this plug-and-play option.

I have the Garmin SD card in my c300 and so far I'm quite impressed and think it is great value compared to the multimedia package. Especially if your leasing, I was able to residualize the cost into my lease for 7 dollars I think.

I had been hesitant to order one after having read elsewhere of instances where the Garmin SD card was slow to start and refresh and possibly needing a software update to fix. Hoping that is not the case with mine.

Been using the Garmin SD for about a month now and LOVE IT! Best navi system, in my opinion.

Ok, just received my Garmin SD card. Just plugged it in and it was working right away. I am very satisfied with it. I was told by two dealers that the Real Time Traffic only worked on the Command Nav, but I'm happy to report that is not the case. As you can see from my picture, traffic does indeed work as long as you have Sirius Traffic activated. In my opinion, the Garmin is nicer than the Command Nav that I had in my 2012 C250.

Is the only option is to pay $500 plus for this sd card? Can we not get an sd card from amazon or elsewhere for a lesser price and plug it in?

Its only available from Mercedes Benz dealers presently. I could not find it anywhere else. It cost me $540. Most dealers are asking $600.


For me it was worth it, rather than paying for the Multimedia Pkg.

I just ordered a Garmin SD Card from the Ebay Atlanta dealership. I will be monitoring the blog for useful advice; and soliciting advice when needed following installation of the SD card.

I recently received delivery of a Lunar Blue C 300 4 matic. Since delivery, it has been a great 2 weeks-love it !

I will be receiving in the mail the SD card from the Altanta MB dealer at Atlanta listed on Ebay, tomorrow Nov 20th.


Does the package come with instructions?


If not, can someone kind soul reply with the list of instructions, and any
useful advice (to avoid incorrect installation, and begin basic proper use of the Navigation system on a 2015 C300 4matic)?

It was about as Plug and Play as you can get. I just turned on the car, pulled it out of the garage so it could get a proper signal, plugged it in and selected NAV. It took about 30 seconds for it to initialize and that was it.


It does come with a booklet.
