It just started working in Canada according to a lot of surprised members who posted here. I would never go to any costs for Sirius if I didn't get all the benefits of it being integrated.
Does your car Start in the same mode when restarting after being switched off for more than 4 hours?
Yes my 2016 c200 will start on same driving mode that I chose when stop. If you put on S+ mode, the ECO is off by default. Just read the manual it will automatically default to C mode, if engine is not started within 4 hours. I have not tried this yet.
Yes that start/stop is very annoy, first time I used this, I thought I got hit by someone at back when car starts automatically at traffic light.

Scanning through this threads (and the many more indexed by google) it seems like there's still no solution to this other than an expensive 3rd party device? Would be great if it could be coded to remember last mode like what BMW offers.
Does ESS kick in only if you completely depress the break? I might be able to work around the "feature" by lightly feathering the break instead at stops.
Personally, I find that modern ESS is less jarring than what BMW had 3-4 years ago, but it's still annoying. Did not realize that engaging ESS would kill AC too.
To the folks wondering what the big deal is - if it's not an issue for you then that's great! I appreciate the seamless experience (KEYLESS GO is a blessing) and every time having to select Sport or turn off ESS before you can just start driving is a hassle when you paid for a premium brand and a premium car.
I remember being disappointed when I got my C-class a few years back and found out how Mercedes implemented auto-stop. My other car is a Civic Hybrid, and Honda uses a dual-A/C compressor that can run on either the belt drive or a built-in electric motor. Always have plenty of cool air when that car auto-stops.
A Mercedes costs a lot more than a Honda, what couldn't they have used a dual compressor so we could have A/C with the engine off?

Your Honda runs ICE half the time and other half electric. I am sure honda would have complaints about their AC if it only works 50% of the time. But your benz eco off would activate less then 5% of total time you are on the road so it can be insignificant to add electric motor for just 5%.
Go to mid city engineering.com. They have a module you plug into OBDll port that changes programming to last set when you restart. after programming if you press Eco start it stays off even if you restart. If you want to turn on simply press Eco start to turn on. It works great.
Hello everyone I haven't had a chance to go to the dealer yet but I wanted to know if someone can tell me if you shut off the Eco start stop feature will it stay off the next time you get into the car or does it always default to on when you first get into the car.
I have this feature in 2 of my cars and fortunately since I really don't like it it stays off and you never have to touch the button again. I hope the Mercedes does this ...
In Jakarta, Indonesia, there is a specialized workshop that can tweak some Mercedes-Benz "settings" i.e.: + Disable ECO Mode or remember last mode
+ Disable "AC circ" auto off
+ Disable seat belt warning
+ Disable trackpad
+ Set one tap turn signal 6x blink (instead of 3x)
+ Show AMG menu in instrument cluster
+ Show AMG boot logo in multifunction display
+ Change "liter/100km" to "km/liter"
Search for MetaHex Engineering Service on Facebook. Probably other workshops in other countries can do the same.

This will alleviate many headaches in this thread.
I second this and recommend Mid City Engineering. I purchased their Eco Off OBDII flash programmer and it works beautifully. Plug in their unit to your OBDII port and within a few seconds, problem solved. Now when I turn off stop/start it stays off until I press the button to turn it back on and vice-versa.
I also purchased the Midcity Engineering Module. It arrived at my house within a few days. I hopped into my 2022 GLE 350 AMG Line and within 30 seconds I was done and no more annoying Auto/start Eco function. Best $160 bucks I ever spent.
We have just the right service for you - ECO Mode with a memory function - https://mbhouse.ca/store/eco.html
We can also code that feature remotely and our adapter can be used indefinitely for other codings from the online store.
For vehicle up to 2019 we can give it a memory function and for models after 2020 we can disable function completely.
Once you receive it, you'll find a QR code on its box. You have to scan that QR code with wechat. Once that is done, you can select your car brand (Mercedes) and model (C-Class) and year, and buy between a number of options you can buy, like the ECO start/stop memory, the AMG logo on the infotainment screen, ambient lighting menu activation, burmester menu, ... If you're giong to buy it I can send you a pdf with instructions, since that stuff is in chinese.

Is there a list somewhere of the options for sale?
What does the customer comment that it is only useable once actually mean?
Does it mean that you can only install the software you bought once and then the OBD plus is useless, or can you buy a different program from the seller and reuse the same OBD tool?
No, the OBD tool isn't a one-time use that would make no sense. What that review meant is that when you buy an option you can only use it once, you can't for example buy the ambient lights activation and keep using it on multiple cars, like going to a programmer in real life, you pay for the activation, but cheaper and from home and takes only a couple of seconds. The options list is on Wechat menu you access with the QR code as I told you in my previous reply. I'll show you a screenshot as an example. A good to know info, is that the OBD tool let's you clear fault codes and reset your infotainment screen for free for an unlimited amount of times.
