Hi from the UK
After a run of 2 Audi's and 3 BMW's my last vehicle has been a Jaguar XF 2.2D which has been a difficult and disappointing 3 years of ownership.

I have now ordered a C250 AMG with the following options for delivery in late November:
Prem Plus pack: Burmester sound/Panoramic roof/Keyless everything/COMAND etc.
Driver Assistance Package
Black Leather
Black Ash Trim (just don't like gloss black)
19" wheels
Palladium grey

Looking forward to being a back in a) german car and b) getting rid of the Jag

MB is a new manufacturer for me but am am encouraged by the general comments on here. Only issue that concerns me is the 19" wheels without Airmatic. Apparently we can't get deliveries with Airmatic in the Uk till "early 2015" which does not fit with my lease arrangements.

Bit of a leap of faith but I couldn't resist the look of the 19"'s

 

I'm an Audi owner making a change this go around as well. I lease so it affords me the option to switch back and forth between manufacturers.

 

... you mean a South African car - LOL.. only kidding. Congrats on your purchase. I'm in the same boat down under - just have to trust that their manufacturing lines don't differ from the ones in Germany I suppose.

Hey what's the waiting time in the UK like to get RHD version of the car delivered over there?

 

Yeh slightly concerned when dealer explained the South African link but will assume MB have it sorted out there after so long
I ordered the car in early September and was given late November/ early Dec
If I'm honest I do expect the call to say it will be late as apparently the shipping is taking an extra 6 weeks

 

Congrats on the purchase! This is my first Mercedes as well! I've previously owned everything from a VW R32 to an M5...I currently DD an M3. I'll still have the BMW for those days I want to shift gears but gotta admit I'm looking forward to a nice "cruiser" to get me to and from work.

 

MB running out of car options not unusual, my UK C200 has Airmatic. SA build, apparently the early SA production cars were given in depth quality control, had a W203 SA built still going strong with no problems. Ordered early april delivered mid August.
