Hello everyone new here and first time poster. Have had my c300 luxury for a week now and so far I've loved almost everything and is a huge upgrade after coming from a 2008 c300.

But one problem I've had is that the sunglass holder I tried using on the first day is stuck after trying to use it and I can't get it open. Have a dealer appointment Monday just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Congratulations on your beautiful new Mercedes!

The glass holder is operated with a single push button so, if it's stuck, I'm sure it would just be a simple replacement under warranty.

Also I've noticed that some of the buttons are misaligned on my center console as someone else here has mentioned.

I'll try to take some pics of that and other photos of my car if anyone wants.

Very nice ... I hadn't seen the orange indicators on the side before. Do they light up as well as the top strip of lights over the DRL's? (Only) That top strip lights up (orange) as indicator on my Dutch w205 ...

Orange side marker is for parking and night time - lights up.

Orange LEDS on top of DRL is for turn signal/emergency only

sunglass holder seems to be a bit of a cheap mechanism... the car I test drove the salesman opened it to show me and then it wouldn't shut after that.

Ok got an update, went to the dealer yesterday and the tech looked and tried to fix it but couldn't. So they have to order a whole new sunglass holder which has to come from Germany and will take 2 weeks.

Also, my service rep said this is the second car they had to order one for so it might be an early production issue...

Also here is a pic of my misaligned radio button. My rep said that the manager will look at it when I take my car back in a couple weeks.

As you are attempting to open the sunglass holder, try pressing lightly on the rear of the door mechanism. It's closest to the hinge and will likely free up the whole works. It worked for me. Hope this helps

Same thing happened to me. I just picked my new 2015 C 300 on Friday afternoon. Saturday I put my ray bans in the sunglasses holder and closed it to try it out. Now it is stuck shut. Not the best design. Sales rep said to expect a call in a few days to see how things are going. Figured that I would tell them at that point.

Does anybody know the Mercedes part number for the sunglasses holder and where you could buy it? I've been searching online without success. I need to replace mine. Perhaps my best bet is the MB dealer...

why would you want to pay out of your pocket? it's a warranty item. The dealer will take care of it. Mine was broken and it was fixed free of charge.

huyuci, thanks for the advice. Mine is not broken but badly scratched and marked by me carrying and moving some junk inside.

How did you fix it ? Mine is broken from inside. The latch has chipped off and the entire unit has to be replaced as per the MB dealer at own cost.
