2015 C300 2.0 liter turbo

In this case the 4 banger wins performance wise and you are very right...

But in the case of the 2015 C300 vs the C400 it certainly is a different story..

The specs:

2015 C400 3.0 liter bi-turbo V6
329 hp
354 lb-ft

2015 C300 2.0 liter turbo

273 ft-lbs.

I'm no mechanical engineer or anything but I am pretty sure even if you moded these cars there is no way you would be able to make the C300 power output match the C400 power output if they were both maxed out to their potential ..

The point I was trying to make with the honda comment was that the engines in their cars are not far enough off in performance from the 4 cylinders that are offered in BMW's, Audi's or Benz's in their lower price point production models like the CLA class and C class. Cars like the CLA45 AMG are a different story.

I have had an audi A4 at the same time as a Honda accord and both were the same model year. While the Audi is obviously much nicer it isn't so much so to justify the price difference if performance is what you're after. At least not to me anyway.

I totally agree with you, I have C400 and a 2014 Honda Accord V6 at the same time.

Before i got my C400 i really thought my accord uses too much gas....but now I like using it for those long economic runs.

300vs400--250vs350 Another viewpoint

Just my experience. Had a 2013 C250 Coupe. A few months ago traded for a 2014 C350 Coupe. REEEly love my 350. Easy power and lots of it. Only uses about 10% more gas. Gets 31mpg on long trips. Lots more fun than smaller engine.

This is my input on a parallel of the C300 vs C400. I am retired and am looking for what might be my last car. Don't want to take a step backwards. Besides all this, my wife strongly stated our next car HAS to have memory seat control on the passenger side. Looks like this feature is only on the C400. Just my own viewpoint--Why isn't the passenger side seat equipt with memory? Should be standard on $50-60,000 car. The convoluted current control setup is ridiculous. If nothing else memory seat s/b an option on C300.

Also plan to get Airmatic & Interior pkg. So again for $3,000 more the C400 is a clear winner for me. We all must make the choice that is best for us.

PS My wife drives a 2013 GLK350 & plans to keep it & its 300hp.

Was at my dealer today having my car serviced. Every W205 on the floor ~ approx 30 of them had rear aircon control. Including the base C180.

Seems it's standard fitment with Thermotronic here. My salesman says he has only ever seen one car without.

I'm still on the fence about C400 with AirMatic or Not. I search inventory around my area. I searched Anaheim, West Covina, Ontario, Newport Beach and found 2 or 3 AirMatic cars.. all the 3 had the 18" wheels.

I was not able to find a C400 AirMatic with 19" wheels. Also 90% of them had the MB text.. very few had leather.

Newport Beach MB has 30 C400's.. only 1 had AirMatic and couple with Leather.

Having the same experience. Checked Downtown and couple of dealers up north too. Same story. No airmatic / leather seats.

In fact, a salesperson at the so called "Nation's number 1 Mercedes dealer" told me airmatic is not an available option in C class. I had a good laugh and walked out of there.

C400 2015
I've had my C400 without Airmatic for about 5 days and I love it. I did test drive the C300 but the power of the 400 just won me over. It's a great car - although it's my first mercedes so what do I know .

C400 with interior lighting package, dystronic, and a bunch of other stuff I haven't figured out yet.

OMG I almost love the light color interior more than the cranberry red.

Yes ~ I like the light interior. I also prefer the Light Linden wood to the dark version. Looks like a modern Italian boat interior.
