I have to say I prefer the bright silver polished rims over my darker non polished grey originals 18" rims.
I have Michelin X-Ice3 18" on my C300 They are very quiet and I really can't tell the difference in handling. They seem a bit quieter and softer than the Blizzaks I had on my GLK.
I was original go to get the new WS80 Blizzak but they were sold out in my size.
Winter tires seems to be selling well for the new C Class up here in Canada so go get them asap.
The C Class AMG Sportline can only use the 18 or 19 not the 17".
My installer told me to check the tire pressure within 3 days due to fluctuation of up to 15psi on new tires, that was news to me. They also offer come back after 24hrs for re torqueing of the wheels to ensure proper seating. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Reason: Update info
That is the only winter tire available for the 19 inch rims. Which is the reason I went with 18's. It not a bad tire, but the combo of ultralow profile and wide tires limits their performance in deep snow considerably. They'll be better the all seasons but not as good as they can be with a higher profile tire thinner tire. In fact what MB recommends is four rims of the same size as the front in 18's (per manual).

This is the package I have installed on my car, also from the dealer in Toronto.
Does anyone know whether 18 x 8.5 wheels with +45 offset would work fine on the front of the C400? I know the rear would be ok. US car here with the drilled brakes.
I know the default size for fronts are 18 x 8.0 but I'm having a lot of trouble finding wheels I want in that size.

The front rims are 8in, the rears are 8.5. Mercedes recommends 8 in rims all around for winter tires. The summer amg rubber has lower profile, wider tires in the back than in the front. That is a major PITA for winter shoes, that is the reason OEM recommends all rims to be identical to the fronts in that manner you can rotate your winter tires effectively since all rims and tires are the same. As we all know skinnier, higher profile tires are the optimal winter rubber.

I ended up getting 18x8.5 all around. It's ET32. So it's a bit aggressive, it's flush with the fender. I think ET45 would be fine.
Tires are not meant to be dismounted once they go on a rim, the next place should be the dump. Mounting and dismounting repeatedly greatly increases the chance of damaging the tires bead or chaffer. BTW the damage my not be visible leading you to possible (though rare) catastrophic tire failure. If you are going to use winter tires always have them on a spare set of rims. Much safer and much easier
I decided on swapping out my 21" AMG summer wheels that come with my 2015ML550 for 19" Mercedes rim using OEM Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D P255/50R19's. I agree that putting wheels on/off rims is a great way to wreck your tires and wheels. Most of the dealerships will store your wheels for you and you don't have to rebalance the tires every time you swap summer/winter. The narrower winter tires with the higher profile are great in snow for exceedingly awesome performance. The Dunlops contain reactive silica, which makes a real difference to winter performance:
The Mercedes dealer swaps the tires out inexpensively and they store the tires for the necessary 6 months as part of their swap out price. I will soon have 16 tires to store, so this is a great deal for me.

Just punch in your wheel and tire size, and play around with the different offset numbers.
Thank you very much for the pics! Yeah, I think I would do +45 or +47 offset to tuck the fronts in some more for better clearance. Are those 225s that you have on for tires (can't zoom in enough on pics to tell)? Also, do you have airmatic?
