The WeatherTech mats do look better than the Mercedes mats. They also seem to offer more protection. They are made like a tub that fits around the footrest for the driver's left foot. The Mercedes mats are simply cut out for that footrest, like the summer mats.

I would have two questions before buying FloorLiners.
Do you have an idea when rear floor protection will be proposed for the 2015 C-class Sedan ?
What about the cargo floor protection from WeatherTech ?

They are lightweight and have some flex, plus the fit is really perfect. The price, at $109.95, was also reasonable.
The company does list universal trunk liners, but no rear mats for the W205. I have no idea if they intend to add the rear mats or not, but I'm sure an email to them would get a quick response and answer to that question.

I just asked them by email, they said there are no rear floor protection for the time being. May be in the following months.
For information, for people desirous of international delivery, there is an Italian store you can contact at : europeansalesdepartment@weathertech.com

. They both appear excellent. Note: Unlike most cars the cargo liner for the driver wont avoid all soiling since the accelerator is floor hinged, however its still as good as it possibly gets. FOr the rear I'm simply going to keep the Mercedes all weather mats, they are fine too. Weather liners are more useful for the front since they cover more of the foot well, in the rear there isn't really a foot well as such so feet go mostly flat on the floor instead of to the sides.

My C Class is due to arrive in 2 weeks so it would have been nice to have a set ready.
Unfortunately the UK WeatherTech site is showing the 2014 C Class, righthand drive version as not being available/currently under development.
But, as long as there are colors, there will be preferences!
The same thing with the leather interior on the 400, either red or pale gray. Both look great though the red is more "cool". However the red is too "pimp" for a daily driver for me. My dad had a black LTD II company car with red interiors, I could swear the "working girls" stared at it every time we drove by wondering who that unknown pimp was!!!

Makes me wonder, now that the British car manufacturing is basicly gone, do you think you guys will ever switch to the "appropriate" side like the other 90% of the world? I 've always thought that driving on the left was in part a kind of protectionist endeavor.

Ignoring "big bang" day (literally!) when people had to go out and drive on the other side of the road for the first time, the costs associated with the infrastructure changes would be huge.
Traffic signs pointing the wrong way, overhead gantries on motorways, unsuitable slip roads, instant depreciation on RHD cars, etc, etc.
I guess we'll just have to stay as we are and do without floor mats

Just let Labor back in. They can justify it as economic stimulus!

The savings to the consumer associated with buying RHD cars may (at least partially) offset any additional costs (I'm assuming that it's a reason as to why cars cost so much more in the UK).
