My order was made on 9/30 with estimated delivery in early/mid December. A the time, the dealer said that mid December would be a worst case scenario and it would likely be here earlier. Now my dealer has informed me that production has been delayed until early January so delivery will likely be late January.
I was really hoping to get it in time before Christmas so it's a bit frustrating..
Anyone else experiencing production/delivery delays? Almost 4 months seems to be quite a long wait.. I wouldn't put it past the dealership to have switched my original production spot with another customer, but I don't know if that's possible. I guess it's also possible that the Alabama plant is just slow or is facing production issues..
EDIT: Added my status sheet from the dealership for more information. It has "Decade Planned: Dec 1, 2014" but "Est Prod Date: 2015/01/08". I'm honestly not sure what "decade" means in this context (except perhaps something to do with production grouping?).. but the accompanying e-mail from the sales rep. said that it was indeed delayed to January.
The order was already 'locked' by 10/16 where changes could no longer be made

Sounds a little suspicious, the dealer can change until it 'locks' about a month before build. That said, some options and even colors can delay you, but dealer should have info on that. You could show up to some dealers for the first time today and still get a car built in their third January decade allocation.
My order was in 10/1. With a build date of the first week of December and an expected delivery date of Christmas (at best). I haven't heard of any delays as of today.
