Window tint..

I'm awaiting the pickup of my new C400 next week--...I'd like to take it to the local tint shop and have the windows tinted ASAP. Does anyone have pictures of their tint jobs and what % tint they decided on. I've pretty much decided my tint will be illegal, but the question is..how much? My current truck is 5% and I love the way it looks, but it does make it hard to see at night. Any thoughts and pictures would be appreciated.

Others can advise on %age tint for your country. Just make sure you do not fit metallic tints especially to the rear window. They will effect radio reception & remote locking adversely.

Alright. I plan on using a regular "black" tint. Thanks for the heads up

Great. Just remind your tint shop no metallics. They can be trouble to remove & care with water and trimming on the back window. No cut wires & water in the antenna amp.

Better safe than sorry. We have seen so many botch jobs.

Definitely don't want that. Thanks again. Will be posting pictures in a week or two

You want a ceramic based tint. What color is your car? I'm thinking that you're wanting to tint to also accentuate the car or perhaps get a glimpse of the interior.

Here's my car with 35%...this angle makes it appear darker than it really is. I originally wanted to go with 20% to match the roof but after seeing a few cars with 20% at the tint shop I concluded it was too dark for my taste.

Thanks for the replies and the picture. The car is the metallic black and will have the gloss black 19" wheels. As I mentioned my current truck is black with 5% all the way around and I really just like how it makes a vehicle look. With that said, I also don't want to be pulled over by the cops regularly...
