Blind Spot Assist

hey guys, for those with the standard passive blind spot assist on the car, does it light up orange when the car is still, then turns off when you start driving above 30km/hr? and red when there is a car in your blind spot?

Just asking because on my previous C350 this is how it works, but noticed that on my C400, it doesn't light up orange anymore... not sure if it was like this before my last dealer repair.

Thanks!

There is no orange on my c400, only red once a vehicle is in the blind spot.

Great, thanks. I got so confused today when I was reflecting back to what my W204 had. Also swear I had Passive Lane Keep assist in the W205, but I don't think I have this since I don't have the Intelligent Drive Package... also imagination from my previous car.

The difference between the standard passive system and the optional active system is that the active system will move you back into the lane if you persist in moving into the other lane despite the warning red light. Otherwise its the same.

Thanks. I thought I had the passive system in my C400, but it looks like I don't have it at all.

Do you have a triangle on the side mirrors? If you do, you have at least the passive system.

I think it is better without the orange triangle at low speeds. The point of that was to tell you that the system was operating, but that it doesn't detect other cars at low speed and that the system is not activated during this time. I think it is pretty confusing to have the yellow and I am glad they did away with it
