Which oil weight for the C300?

A certain fellow who is on a 7 day suspension collected many member complaints & the decision to suspend was made by 3 moderators. You have collected a number of member complaints and I have handed them off to other moderators. When I've had a disagreement with a member I leave my gun at the door.

I'll pick up a quart of 0-40w for the trunk of the C450. FWIW, the owners manual is pretty ambiguous about oil spec. I'm glad Mobile 1 is one of the approved ones though since I've used it for a number of years and I trust the product.
So far, oil consumption on the new C450 has been zero. But not having a spare quart of oil in the trunk makes me nervous. Old habits die hard I guess.

Yes I know I need almost 7 qts but had some led from my prior car so was good!
Edit. Nevermind, that is for the Turbo 4. The V6 filter is around $16 online

BTW ~ In SA ~ considered a torrid zone by Benz. 229.51 is not listed for the M274.
The Shell break-in oil used in Bremen, Sindelfingen, East London & every Benz plant I've been in is a 5W-30 synthetic. It has zero moly in it (high temperature anti oxidant) which you will find in Mobil 1 0W-40 Euro Formulation 229.5. Our additive company sells the additive system to Exxon Mobil. (oil sample analysis will show the differences immediately)
I am playing the Benz line that I wholeheartedly endorse. I've worked with them on the Service Products approvals program over many, many years. Benz owners are very lucky that Benz undertakes all the expensive testing & approvals process for them. Makes product selection dead simple globally.

I have a 2011 c300 w204 116k miles but I live in new England where weather is high and very low for months. What oil should I use? Brand and exact one if possible. Thanks in advance!
