Clear Bra Question - Time Sensitive
My C300 is at the clear bra shop right now and they are claiming that the Xpel ultimate material is not adhering to the chrome belt line that spans the width of the bottom of the front bumper. I have the Sport Package.
Is the chromed plastic susceptible to chipping? I will be picked up by the shop in 30 mins (currently at the Starbucks near the shop) but I detect BS.
To those of you with some miles on your car, does the chrome on the front bumper and grille get pitted with chips at all? Do any of you with Xpel or any clear bra have it applied to the chrome strip on the bumper?
Thanks!!

I had mine done but it was only to the painted surfaces...I didn't think to have that chrome looking piece done. I only have about 1500 miles but no noticeable pitting/damage...

Thanks!! my guys did a great job with the rest of the car so I won't worry about the chrome piece. I WISH MB made it matte rather than shiny so that it would hide the damage better.

I had mine done with the 3M clear bra material, stuck on all the chrome trim without any issue.
The bumper and grille will pit overtime, but that's just inevitable part of life!
