I only wished they would of used the 9 speed transmission but the rest looks nice. The 66/33 rear bias awd will surely please. The extra HP is from increased boost so that proves that the c400 was under-tuned. Not a fan of the diamond grill but it would be a car I would consider if Mercedes would only get their quality control together at the USA plant.

Yup

The MB facebook site also posted pics of it. As well as the C350 plug in hybrid (sedan). The app NetCarShoe also listed the plug in hybrid of the C estate.

Wonder if/when the stronger engine will find it's way until the E400....

Sadly the UK (and I think a lot of Europe) only get the C200 petrol engine or they have to go for the C63 - no options between the two of them!

Wonder if this means 2015 will be the only model year for the C400?

Guess I should have read to the bottom first, would've answered my own question.

Those front brake discs and calipers look quite a bit larger than C400

I'm thinking E450 AMG. Why not.

C450 is nice... Not in love with the diamond grill. But that's likely an easy fix with something aftermarket.

Also, if they're not selling the C450 in the ROW/EU, then are we getting the wagon?

Looks nice but not a fan of the red stitching. Also that article says the C400 0-60moh is 5.2. I always thought it was 4.7 seconds.

That's good to know. The base C200 with AMG is just shy of £30k, but once fully spec'ed it's around £42k.

If this is £40k then I'm guessing it will be around £50-55k with all of the options ticked.

The question now is whether to hold out for more information and order in June once more price & specs are released rather than pull the trigger on the C200...

I was actually thinking they could use the uprated engine as a "regular" E-class model The output nearly matches the NA 5.5L engine of the old E550, no? Whatever power/torque is lacks would presumably be compensated by the lower weight of the car.

I doubt we're getting any form of the wagon. =(
