burmester Audio lacking in loudness
To address the previous concerns with my volume not being up all the way on my mobile phone. . .yes, it has been.
I loaded a SDCARD with the SAME MP3s that are on my phone, and the loudness and quality was a significant improvement.
All of my MP3s were the highest quality (320 Kbps). So, to no surprise you loose a little quality and loudness streaming BT. . .which is no surprise.
Take that for what it's worth.
When I listen to music via Sirius it does not sound nearly as good. Is this due to the lower bitrate I have read Sirius uses.
My prior car was a 2012 E350 and I never noticed the difference but I sure do on the C300.
1. Directly connect the iPhone or Android phone directly with supplied cable or store bought.
2. Turn off Auto Volume.
3. Turn off Surround.
4. Fade system to the front through surround settings.
That way has been the best to give me the most bass and best sound. The surround processor increases treble and changes the phase of the speakers which means less bass. The amplifier is not discrete so that means that when all speakers are playing they are using the power. When you fade to the front then the subs get more power hence louder. Bluetooth will compress the already compressed MP3s.
Also if you have large libraries good luck without a smartphone. I have tried a 128GB thumb drive without any luck. To make sure it worked I put around 10GB of music on it and it worked. Then put up to 98GB and then the system stated "no audio or video" files. So reduced it to 40GB and same message. Maybe it can only handle the same size of built in storage which is 10GB. Yet the Command system recognizes my iPhone 6 128GB with 98GB of music. Just as long as I pause the song before disconnecting the phone.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Its not a bad sound though and I'd say its perhaps 40% better than my stock BMW e89 setup (which admittedly I've added my own tweeters to the BMW).
Its fairly good at distortion control though and I like the source independent tone adjustments. Something my BMW doesn't have and therefore radio can sound tinny against MP3/CD in the BMW.
I do marvel at the speaker covers though, they're lovely.
