COMAND: quickest way to skip to next song?

If I have the navigation screen showing on the main LCD, what is the quickest way to skip to the next song on my USB stick?

Right now I have been clicking the mini-status-bar on the touchpad, and then swiping next.

Is there a faster way?

You could put the center console to Media and use the up and down arrows on the steering wheel - I believe. I do that sometimes with my iPod but am not 100% sure it will work with other media.

One of the things that bother me about doing this on the new C is having to hit the arrow to get into next/prev mode before being able to move up or down. I previously has a GL450 and I just hit the up arrow once to go to the previous song/channel. I do not like having to hit the arrow to get into the right mode....then using the arrows to go up or down. Small issue I know. But the GL taught me one way to do it and it is hard to break the habit.

I have thought the exact same thing many times. Small yet annoying quirk.

Use two fingers to swipe up on the control pad, this will bring up the current playlist shortcut.

I saw a reviewer on youtube point this out. He discovered that pressing the centre 'box'/menu symbol on the trackpad allowed you to then swipe left or right to change track. Personally I think this is very convoluted and displays Mercedes lack of customer research. Commonly used functions should be to hand and intuitive. This is not.

yeah the COMAND interface needs an overhaul. you would think that with their R&D budget they could afford to hire a UI designer from apple or google.

i think Audis MMI is the most intuitive, followed by COMAND. and idrive is the worst!

This is only IF you're not on the media page, correct? I would think that 90% of the time the Media page would be up while driving (it is for me, unless I'm using Nav). Otherwise can't you just swipe or click forward or back? This is how it worked in my W/C204.

Maybe with Linguatronic.
For me, it works fine : a button on the steering wheel, two words and I skip to the next song.

2 fingers up shortcut. Brings up the current track. Left or right change music.

Then if you want to change media (or radio band etc) single swipe down with one finger.

Very intuitive in my opinion.

to update an old thread, mb have removed the single finger down option to change media.

Also id suggest knowing how to use something isn't truly intuitive. Intuitive is knowing how to change a track without learning.

Double swipe

On left touch pad. Double swipe down to skip to next track. Double swipe up for previous track.
