Auxiliary heater

On my Dutch W205 I didn't order the auxiliary heater option for 1600 Euro. Our winters are not freezing cold an we have had some mild snowless winters for the last couple of years. Spending that kind of money seems like a wast. During a trip to Sweden a came along another kind of winter: cold and snowy. I found many home and parking lots having electrical outlets for an auxiliary heater for the the engine and interior. Back home I investigated a little further, I found the heaters from DEFA (defa.com) for the interior. I made a setup with one of these mounted to the back of the back armrest. Put in a power cord form my garage through the boot and use a remote switch to activate the heater.

Does it work well?

How cold is it outside when you turn it on, and how long does it take to warm up to comfortable temperature?

thx!

As a Canadian I have to chuckle at this.

I'm just happy I don't need one.
