I'd love to know too. I searched this on the forums extensively, and seems that since years ago when they changed from Teleaid, no discounts. For a while it was $299.
Once one stops the trial period, if your car stolen, or you're in a wreck and need an ambulance can you immediately reactivate and then have police find? Curious how they handle that.

Yes, they usually will offer a 14% discount when you sign up. I did not subscribe to the apps, since I found them to be of little practical value. I did subscribe to the basic MBrace service at $600 for 3 years.

What does the MBrace service offer you if you don't need it for apps?
Is there a pre-requisite package required on the car to be able to use MBrace? I have Comand with nav but do not have Sat radio.

This should explain all the packages. It works without satellite radio.

Is this basically the new Mercedes ME service? The only thing I see missing from Mercedes ME is the concierge service that I see in M brace (and I love in my BMW)

I'm wondering how well the WiFi hotspot feature works. Are there any additional fees beyond the price of the MB Apps option?

In the USA the wifi hotspot uses the onboard internet connection (not your phone). I haven't seen speeds faster than 1 Mb. It has been painfully slow. It's probably OK for email, but that's about it. I don't know how they can call it high speed wifi. It's faster than the old dialup internet, but slower than 3G speeds on a phone. It would be nice to be able to use the phones 4G connection.

Agreed. Even if it had one "must have" feature I'd consider paying for it. But the features are very underwhelming, especially for the price. The MB apps are completely useless IMHO, especially with the slow internet speeds. I never use them now during my free trial.

The basic MBrace package cost me $200 per year on a three year plan. It's basically an insurance plan with some useful goodies. With the smartphone app, you can download destinations to your car's navigation system while sitting in your living room, which I think is a very convenient way of doing it. You can also use the app to locate your vehicle, which would be very useful if it ever worked ... which is about never.

I used it to unlock my doors remotely one time on my Coupe.....yes, I foolishly locked my keys in the trunk lol. Quick call to MBrace and I was all set.
