For those of you with Handsfree Access: Initially the procedure of kicking under the rear bumper would open the trunk. Recently it stopped working. Also the lock and close button on the trunk does not work although the close only button does work. The keyfob does work to open the trunk but I installed a fresh battery in case that was causing the issues but the issues remain. Anyone else experience these issuer?

Thanks,
Bill

The close and lock button only works if you have the key fob with you when you press it. The close only button works whether or not the key fob is present.

Initially my wife complained that the kicking motion didn't work. It worked every time for me. In our case it was a technique issue not a technical one. It works fine for both of us now, both opening and closing the trunk.

Hands free access won't work if the engine is running. The close and lock button won't work if the drivers door is open.

Thanks for the comeback.

Sounding like my rear sensor isn't recognizing the key.

I wonder if the Opticoat could interfere with the keyless features at the rear of my car?

It shouldn't. The sensors are under the car.

Ok, I had a similar issue, hopefully this helps...
in the glove compartment, you have a slider to lock the trunk, and in my case it was locked which was giving the issue... just check that and slide it to unlock if locked.
Hope that helps.

Thanks merC, I had already checked that but double checked that it was unlocked and it was. Issue persists and now the keyless lock at the driver door is starting to work only intermittently. All this on a less than 2 week old car. Very frustrating to say the least. A trip to the dealer is in order.

On my C300 the Hands Free Access works with the engine running with the fob in my pocket.

I haven't had any key fob hiccups yet either. Congrats on the new 1 day old car Pete, I know you had a long wait to get both the highly desired luxury package and airmatic.

Thanks much! I'm still trying to absorb all the technology. Slowly, I'm finding the settings I want. Tomorrow, I will concentrate on the ride. Pretty sure I will reduce the PSI from the 37 (the dealer aired the tires to) to 32 or 33. I'm finding when driving on my usual roads I notice fewer impacts and a more comfortable ride than my previous cars.

ouch! that hurts... definitely something's wrong with the electronics, and doesn't feel good when that happens on a 2 week car. you should get it checked. probably the sensor's screwed.

Don't know why but keyless trunk access started working today (consistently) as did the close & lock button and the drive door keyless locking function. Hope it sticks!

Stan mentioned he believes the car has some sort of self repairing abilities. On his car it self repaired his door LED's. And now a Hands Free self healing repair.

Let's hope these minor quirks are just that and the magic continues when necessary.
