Tail light /bumper alignement

Tail light /bumper alignement
So I visited my dealer who wanted to show me how they fixed this issue on one of their c300 in stock. The fix was perfect. All they do is unscrew the screw holding the slim bumper part going up the side of the light and insert a spacer and everything lines up properly. The screw is from inside the trunk on both sides and is an easy fix.
MB according to my dealer has not issued a formal fix protocol but I think if you insist enough with your dealer they can and should fix it---a perfect seam is what one expects when buying an MB!

450-672-2720 ext 160...and yes it fixes everything. I'll have mine fixed same I have winter tires taken off---assuming this damn winter does end!

sorry he just explained it to me....it should be mid-way on the side of each light--the side nearest to trunk lock. I think it can be accessed via the trunk-its the screw that secures that slim part of the bumper that joins(imperfectly) to the trunk top.

Correct...bumper not removed . Screw access from inside trunk(probably have to remove plastic cover inside)...spacer size I have no idea..I assume might be 4-7 inches long but thickness dunno..

no official MB fix circulated to dealers that I've heard of.
My dealer has come up with their own fix. I'm having mine done next week and I'll post back . They did show me what the fix result looked like on a c300 in inventory and it should be 100% good.

There is no bulletin, and current production has not eliminated that "step" between the panels. It's a simple fix that just involves some small shims to even out those panels, and most dealers will do it as a warranty item when requested.
