COMMAND NAV Freeze?

COMMAND NAV Freeze?
Anyone experience the COMMAND NAV screen freezing up?
In 3D (birds eye view) mode if I changed scale the screen would take a long time to re-draw. If I changed scale quickly by say, twirling the knob from close in to zoomed out, the screen would effectively lock up for up to a minute or two - rendering the NAV function useless.
Tried this on 2 separate cars so I'm assuming it's a common flaw - just curious as to why I've not seen any complaints about this "feature".
