I'm afraid of hitting the front of the car against curbs etc. Is their an aftermarket front parking sensor available?

The OP never indicated if he even considered an insurance claim. Normally, a small claim like this will not affect rates.

Over the years, I've put in several claims for minor damage; typically parking lot damage where my car was hit and no note was left. I've never seen a rate increase, since it's usually not considered a chargeable accident. Each company, of course, deals with these claims differently, but I would think it's at least worth a phone call to check on the coverage.

Living in NJ with the highest insurance rate in the country, I'm very careful with claims. An agents told a friend of mine that there will be no surcharge with his minor damage but he ended up with an upcharge of $1500 a year between the 3 cars under his policy. You're right, hit and run to a parked car is not chargable just don't be in the car when that happen. Cheer...
