The panel comes off and the speakers actually snap into place onto a plastic mount on the door interior. No mounting screws. The grilles are attached to the door panel itself.

No, no, the panels need to go out. But it's not that difficult. You can find YT videos showing you how to do it. Search for W205 glass repair or similar.

It's a good time to lay in a healthy amount of Hushmat or similar sound deadening material. Not only do my doors not rattle (although everything else does) they don't have that hollow sound when I close them anymore. The panel is mostly held on by plastic clips around the perimeter. Not a huge job.

Bringing this thread back to the top to report on my car. The speaker buzzing/rattling was horrific since the day I took delivery (July 2016) of my vehicle. I just didn't want to deal with the likelihood that the dealer could not duplicate the issue and the inevitable back and forth to get this fixed.

Well, surprise, surprise. Took car to dealership last week for a service campaign (prefuse box) and explained the speaker buzzing/rattling issue. I was armed with all kinds of information and test tones thanks to this thread, plus my own recordings of the buzzing and sound distortion. Service advisor was familiar with the problem.

A few hours later my car is ready. Tech performed service bulletin LI72.10-P-061465, removed/replaced the center dash speaker (it was the worst offender) and removed/replaced both front door panels to install and snugly fit clips (part 001-991-25-98).

The sound is awesome now and there's not a hint of the former rattling/buzzing

Anyone able to upload copy of the bulletin? Gonna take it with me to the dealer to prove it is a known issue.

I contacted Burmester and they are very aware of the issue. They said the buzzing noise is due to the "mounting of the speaker grills." "Dealers should be working with a system called XENTRY TIPS worldwide". This is the system that should provide service information about handling/ fixing the buzzing noise. This information is straight from Burmester Corporate.

Here is the link to a post I posted a screenshot of the email from Burmester ( Last page of the forum at the bottom)

Found the perfect song to demonstrate this issue. Turn up the volume in your c300 and play this.

7 Rings - Areola Grande

Your speakers should buzz and rattle in the first few seconds into the song. (I need to fix mine)

A sample recording with the issue is attached, mostly coming from my rear speakers. I have treble at 10, mid 0, bass 2, Surround on all 4 seats, Fader 0.

There are a few songs that definitely do it for me, like the intro on Sacrifices:

However I find that just about any podcast will cause this issue, especially if it includes recording of voice that is of low quality (like someone calling in on their phone). Not sure why, but happens just about every time.
