Test drive it and if wind/road noise is excessive, pass on it.

Its an awesome car. I just got mine from the Long Island Southampton dealership almost exactly the the same but with black w/ mbtex.

But now I am wishing I held out for the C63.

Nice build.
I ordered mine mid January and just got the call today that the car has been built and should arrive at the dealership by months end. I plan on driving it before final paperwork as well. I also have to negotiate final price when it arrives. I got what amounts to 10% off MSRP to place the order pending ongoing incentives when the car arrives. I will be pushing for more.

Another round of ICE
As you asked for thoughts....

You are so close in time to 16MY! I would contact the dealer and ask for the typically-available up to three month lease extension on the current car past its current expiration and ask the dealer to submit the order as soon as possible for his first 2016 vehicles. I would expect you to see the car in July instead of May. Although many quality improvements would have been made on as ASAP basis during the launch year, it is almost inevitable that others are bundled and pending MY16 V1 timing. It's possible MBUSA may have a vehicle base price change, but it should be minor. Tradeoff for reducing risk of quality issues discussed on this forum. Either way, best wishes.

Sportsticks' right. My 2012 W204 lease expired Nov. of last year and I extended it for 6 months which ends in May. My W205 just got built so you can ride your W204 into the 2016MY if you are concerned about early build issues.

2015 or 2016 tbh for me no big deal as its gonna look the same... and also i usually end my leases about 4-6 months beforehand like the last 2 times..

Nice looking build. Hopefully yours will past the build and wind noise test. I'd keep shopping for alternatives. Most states, any deposit you'd put down is refundable. My fingers crossed (and toes) that they fix the wind issue. I really want the W205 sedan.

There's dozens of them, on MbWorld and on other countries' sites as well. Worth saying that not all of them are delivered with it, some develop it, and some say their's quiet so far. All subjective, some aren't bothered by it. Don't let it hamper your experience if you don't care. It's just in denial by the dealerships and MB thus far, so if you are sensitive to it, no action yet.

Helen judging by what I read I think ill have to get the car past 55 mph to really see if there is a wind issue if i cant notice anything at lower speeds.... if anything at higher speeds it would show it evil head

35mph in a 10mph crosswind in the car the delivered me and you would have to raise your voice to speak on the phone. Ironically, it doesn't increase much with speed. Either way, just go in open eyes AND ears to delivery, and if doesn't bother you, it's great. The car is amazing piece of engineering with best in class interior! Congratulations again!
