As above, fresh delays on my order, more repeated phone calls to MB Milton keynes, more uselessness of local dealer. Anyway, now I'm told hyacinth red is off the UK order lists? The luxury dealership experience over the phone was "pick another colour". Wonderful.

My current experience of MB dealers in the UK is poor. They are massively in the shade of local BMW dealers I use.

I'm starting to wish I'd not ordered the merc simply due to my experience so far. I'm sure there's worse to come!

I had the complete opposite. My dealer couldn't wait to place my order (I suspect to hit his monthly targets). I had a company car to return which couldn't go back early. Car got built very quickly and shipped over. 4 weeks from 'spec freeze' to delivery I think it was.

Car arrived before xmas and sat in their compound for 2 months until I picked it up this month!

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing one or more of:
- Your dealer doesn't have many build slots
- You're after a popular trim which is aparently in tight supply (red artico/leather)?
- AMG line (everyone seems to be after that). Maybe something is in tight supply?
- You're after airmatic or 360 cam. Known supply issues with these.

Yup 360 camera.... But on silk beige Sport spec, every bugger has AMG line round here!
