Agility always reverts to Comfort after switching on

No matter what I set it to, once I switch off the car and then switch it back on, it reverts to Comfort.

Is there some setting that will make it stick?

thanks

Which model do you have?

I have the C300 and it reverts very quickly (merely lock and unlock the door, then turn on engine).

I have the Australian C250 Bluetec (March '15 Build)

Have tried it in all modes and get the same result. What build date is yours? perhaps a software update in later builds?

OP if you are in the US, this is the reason. The car will default there due to EPA regulations (essentially MB trying to eek out as many MPG as possible from the car).

don't think it is an EPA requirement as Porsche and BMW allow the user to change the stop/start default from always on to off.

It depends on the manufacturer and how the vehicle was set up at the time it was certified by the EPA. In order to get CARB credit for the system, it has to be set to default on.

There is default. Then there is user settings that can change it away from default. Both EPA and users can be satisfied.

Honestly, I'd prefer mine to default to Eco as I find myself driving in that mode more often than not, and switching up to sport+ or individual as needed.

Agreed. My Individual sets the gearbox at Eco, but the rest at comfort because most of my driving is motorway miles. Would be nice if it stuck.

i have a 2015 C300 4Matic Sport, and my dealer here in Seattle, WA (USA) said that it cannot be turned off by default because of "local" laws.

however, I did see a thread that said there was a kit that could be installed to turn it off by default.
