So I finally got around to taking things out of my old car and switching it. I had a bumper sticker magnet on my 5 series and it won't stick to anywhere on the w205. Found this weird, guess because it's aluminum?

You are right sir. Aluminum is not magnetic. No magnet will stick to it. A lot of the C Class is aluminum.
Personally I wouldn't put any magnet on this car. There are so many sensors all over the vehicle I would be afraid of the car sending false signals due to the magnetic waves.

While I can't be certain, I'm fairly sure the lower section of the boot door is plastic. While washing this weekend, the sound from tapping the top section is like metal, but the lower section, where the number plate is attached, sounded very much like plastic.
