2015 C400
2014 vs 2015...wow!
I own a 2015 C400. This is my first MB vehicle. I've owned the car for about 4 months now. Today I took my car in for service for the first time and was given a 2014 C250 loaner car to drive to work. All I can say is WOW, what a difference. The C250 is a nice car for sure, but everything about it screams "small entry level Mercedes". My C400 feels so much more opulent and lux. The C400 does not seem in the slightest like an entry Mercedes. The dash is so much nicer in the C400 vs the C250. Everything in the C400 is richer with more generous proportions while the C250 feels much more like a small car. It's a night and day difference.
Then there's the driving experience. Now I realize its unfair to compare the 4 cylinder to my 6, but man the acceleration is miles apart. And it's not just that, the way the engine sounds and feels is just such a different experience. And the handling is again, a BIG difference. My C400 handles superbly. This C250 feels a lot less sporty to me.
It's not that the C250 is a bad car, it's not, it's actually very nice indeed, it's just that the C400 is in a different league in every way.

This isn't entirely true. My past 2 cars have been a 2010 W204 and a 2013 C204 and now a 2015 C205. Although they are all basically the same C Class, I agree with the OP that the improvements on the 2015 make it feel like another car entirely. My opinion is that it is nicer than my friend's 2014 E Class. The new C is one fantastically styled car, inside and out.

Ah, the OP's talking about the previous model? In the UK the W205 has been out since early 2014, hence I thought the comparo was like for like but different engines/spec.

I have filed favorites on my computer for 4-5 dozen reviews of the 2015 C-Class. Most called the class simply "luxury". One called it "mid-sized".
