C200 engine same as C250?
I have seen suggestion by a certain tuning company that the C200 (181bhp) engine is the same as the C250 (204bhp), with the difference being purely the engine software map. As a result they say they can tune the C200 to 250bhp and 400Nm.
Does anyone know of anything to back this up?

The actual difference, engine wise, is in two folds:
- The number/size of the turbos.
- Some innner engine components are of higher specs compared to the base versions.
If you're looking for quick wins, some tuning companies, such Brabus/Carlsson/Lorinser, offer piggyback tunes that "theoretically" give your car an extra 25kw/50nm.
