Bad quality picture from the reverse camera in our W205
Here's a question for you all.
What do you think about the quality picture coming from the reverse camera on our w205 at night time in low or no light?
(Daytime isn't much of an issue).
I think the quality picture is poor and I could hardly see out the back for cars or objects when reversing at night.
Before you say it....I'm NOT totally relying on the camera alone when I'm reversing the car. But however I did notice the image on the screen is very poor and dark (I have the brightness up at max level) and compared to my previous Lexus, the quality image is superb on that car.
Let me know what you think.

I drive an MDX and the C300. For me, the camera in C300 is much better at night when compared to the MDX. During well lit conditions, they are at par. I don't have any experience with Lexus though.

I still see everything on mine when its dark, it does go grainy though, which you'd expect in low light. In full light its fairly good, but not amazing.

I got the Online Command so the bigger screen and i think the picture quality is pretty good both in the day and night and i haven't got the brightness level set to max.

Thanks for the input.
Wow, then I'm really surprised. If that is true then it must be an issue with the camera in my C250 or perhaps, there is some settings or adjustment that I'm not aware of to tune and improve the quality image.
Could you guys post a photo for me of an image when in reverse at night time in low light?
Thank You.

Exactly, the pictures are very grainy and dark in low light.
However as a comparison, the camera in my previous 2013 Lexus is excellent. The picture contrast is sharp in any light at night.

As long as it works. You can't compare tech from different companies. Well you can, but don't expect it to be the same.
I expect some graininess in low light, nature of the beast.

It's pretty grainy in low light, but that is just the nature of optics. I wouldn't call it unusually bad in the C Class. During the day, I've been extremely impressed with the quality of the camera. Much better than other cars I've driven.

Grain in low light is to be expected. They do not use high ASA rated sensors & have no noise processing like a DSLR etc.
