C350e Engine - Same as a C200 ?
C350e Engine - Same as a C200 ?

Just looking on Fuelly to try and build a picture of the MPG for the C350e on Petrol only, (i understand the extra weight will reduce it etc,) but does anyone know if the C350e shares the same engine as a C200 ?

From what I read online yes its the same 2.0 lump in the c200 and c350e. Its a nice enough engine, a bit warbly four pot sounding though. Something I'd not considered moving from my inline 6 in the bmw.

It's the same M274 engine but tuned for slightly more performance in the C350e PHEV.

The US C300 also uses the same engine but again, is tuned for more bhp.

According to the BMW website the c350e has 27bhp more than the c200. But then it needs it plus the electric motor given it's over 300KG heavier. That's the weight of four people!
