Water Leak
Well...given all the problems people where having, I thought my C300 must have been one of the lucky ones. I was wrong...
Monday morning, after it being in the rain for the night, I discovered that the floor of rear seat area behind the drivers side was soaked. I mean a serious puddle of water.
Took it immediately to the dealer. They called me on Wednesday saying they had found what they think is the source of the leak, but it would take a couple of days to fix. Have not heard anything since. I have a loaner CLA250 in the meantime.
Anyone else have any issues like this? I glad I caught it early, but I moved away from convertibles to get away from this type of crap.

Holy crap man. That's horrible. Get that into the dealership pronto. My water was only on the floor. Did not see any on the doors. Hope we have not discovered a new rampant problem.

Water leaks have not been a common complaint so, considering many of us have been through heavy rain and high pressure car washes with no problems, these are hopefully only isolated instances.

MB W204, VW Polo, Audi R8 V10 - SOLD.
Could this be related to the wind noise issue? If the seals in the windows are not air tight then I would suspect you would get some water leakage too...
Have the posters who have seen leaks also had a wind noise issue at high speed (>50mph)?
Food for thought.

I'm going to ask a dumb question so I apologize in advance?? Have you had your windows tinted?? I only ask because I had similar marks after having my windows tinted because obviously they're spraying water in order to manipulate the tint. The other reason is because it would seem almost impossible to get water from a window leak that would actually deposit on the outter rim of the door panel (cup holder) as in your picture...versus lets say accumulating inside of that area. I may be wrong but just thought I would throw that out there...good luck...I hope I'm right which would mean you don't have a problem.

Car has been at the dealer since Monday. Got a call Wednesday from service saying they think they found the cause and would take a few days to fix. Hope to get a report tomorrow.
No wind noise issues on my car, so no correlation there.
Hopefully they fix this and it is a one and done issue.

I'm supposed to get the car back today after the warranty paperwork is completed. Something about having more sealing added around the firewall. I'll get more info and post it after picking up the car.

Sorry I've never followed up on this. Here is the end result.
The dealership (Euromotorcars in Germantown, MD) had the car for 8 days. After much testing, they found water behind the firewall speaker also. They traced the leak to the firewall and it was running down the frame and pooling in the rear passenger footwell on the driver side.
After a ton of labor and tearing the car apart, they sealed the leak in the firewall, replaced a number of parts that got water on them, put in new carpets and put everything back together.
So far I have not had a repeat of the leak...so hopefully this is a one-off and everything is good. Everything seems same in the car - no new creaks or loose pieces from them taking a lot of the car apart.
Also - the dealership treated usvery well during the process. This occurred the day before my wife and I had a baby, so it was a very stressful time and they recognized it and did some things for us. I was really happy with the dealership service department, the fix and how they treated us.
Here is hoping for a non-repeat and I can fully enjoy this vehicle!
