Ready to order - help with options please
Hi all,
Went today to the MB dealer to test drive the C300 for the first time and also to see it in person. It looks good and the interior is nice too.
Test drove the Sport package with the cranberry seats, and sports package etc.
I thought that the seats were a bit snug for me and the ride was a little harsh, when I got out I found it had the 19" tires which is why I think it rode harsh.
Then test drove another with 17" tires and this one drove better for me and the seats were more wider.
So the options I am thinking are the back up camera, blind spot assist, pano roof and premium package to get the LED lights and heated seats. Now I really wanted the ambient lighting, but apparently its part of the interior package.
Am i selecting the right options, any other must have options? Please suggest.

Problem is that the packages vary so much, market to market that it is very difficult to assess. I presume you are in the USA market, so you need the help of your colleagues in your market.
In terms of important options to me, I would say:
Burmester Audio
Multimedia
Keyless Entry and Go
Intelligent Lighting
Reversing Camera
Driver Assist
(if I could afford it)
Leather
Airmatic
Of course, there is a huge risk in asking for advice.... Ask enough people and they will advise you that, just about, every available option is the most important "must have" - so you might as well just tick every possible box....

Obviously get it as loaded as you'd like...however as in my case by the time I configured a C300 with options...it was only about 3k less than the C400...which I eventually purchased. Of course though I liked the sport package and 19" wheels...in any case good luck.

I really hesitate to tell others what options to order on their own car. To get any real help here, I think the members of this forum ... which IS the most active W205 forum around ... need more information.
1. Where do you live?
2. What is your budget?
3. Do you prefer a softer ride or crisper ride and handling?
4. Do you like electronic gadgets?
5. Do you want built-in navigation, the Garmin SD card option, or nothing?
6. Do you like sunroofs?
There are several packages and stand-alone options available. Most here would agree that the Premium Package is a "must have," in that it includes many of the items one would expect in a semi-luxury sedan. Beyond that, it all depends on the needs and wants of the individual buyer. I think your best bet is to play around with the online configurator, put together a tentative build that you think you want, then come back here and post that. That's when you'll get everyone chiming in telling you what you really want and should have ordered.

Every option I ordered for my 2015 C300 was important to me!
If you like the suspension drop of the "Sport Suspension #486", get it with the 18" A/S wheels/tires instead for a slightly smoother ride over the bumps compared to the 19" Summer wheels/tires.

Get all the options you can afford. I've never regretted an option I got. Only ones I didn't. In this car, would go leather and at least find airmatic to test drive. It's a deal. Just not optioned standard by MB.
