Windshield Washer System Failure
My windshield washer system worked fine all winter when it was really needed, but failed this week.
It always took a significant amount of pressure to activate the system. My wife actually noticed that the spray hasn't been as strong as it used to be. Today it didn't work at all. There is no motor or pump sound from the system at all.
There was no low fluid warning, but I added fluid anyway. It didn't take very much and still didn't work.
I have an appointment next week to swap out my winter tires for summer tires. I'll add the washer system to the list. Hopefully it's an easy fix.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I guess it's good that no one else has had this issue. Just got my windshield washer repaired. The pump had failed and was replaced.
The dealer had my car for 2 days because the part had to be ordered. They don't seem to stock many parts and won't order a part in advance until they check the system. In this case, they could have ordered the pump and if not needed, returned it. Same day service is much preferable to leaving the car for a couple of days.

The pump had an internal short. I doesn't look like this is a widespread issue. Apparently it's not an easy job though. To get to the pump, they had to remove a front wheel and wheel liner.
