Unable to refuel 100%?
When I refuel today (w205 C300), the fuel pump auto-stop mechanism was triggered even though the tank was less than 3/4 full. I tried depressing the lever again, but the pump stops within a couple of seconds.
Didn't have this problem in the past few months, until the last couple of refuel (same fuel station but different pumps).
Anyone else experienced the same issue? Is there something wrong with my car?

The C is the most annoying car to refuel I've ever driven. I can't just set the pump and let it fill up like ALL the other cars I've ever owned. No, the neck seems to have a flow issue and it confuses the filler into going into shut off every few seconds. I've had to hold the lever at a slow constant rate well below that of even the first handsfree notch on the nozzle. Agh.. I loathe filling up. Thankfully I don't do it very often.

The first time I got gas for the car at Costco I had the most trouble - keep stopping every several seconds whether I held the trigger by hand or not, took me a long long time to fill up like you guys said.
The following times at Chervon it was ok.

I've only had this happen once with my C300. The problem was unique to one station, and I never saw that problem again with any other stations. It's probably a combination of the MB fuel filler design and a particular design of the nozzle at the pump.

I have had this multiple times. Having read about this before and knowing that another gas station might work well for the car, I just move on to another gas station whenever this happens. I don't think there is a solution for this. I have owned several vehicles before this and never ever had such problems with them. These are some really basic things right !!

I've had this happen on several vehicles, including the C400. I think it may be more of an issue with the pump/station. I notice it happens only at certain stations.
Also, here in Massachusetts, we don't even get to use the trigger hold at self-serve pumps (set it and forget it). We have to hold the trigger the entire time. Not fun when it's below 0 out.

It happened to me again while I was at a gas station yesterday. Found out that you can fill a tank full if you try filling with the nozzle at a 90 degree angle with respect to how you normally hold it. Hope this works at all gas stations.

same exact thing happened the first time I went to fill the tank. Second time no problem. We will see what happens the third time. I think someone who oversees design at Mercedes has not designed cars for a long time. There are glaring flaws in the design notably the mirrors which seem to be the cause of the loud slapping wind noise that mars highway driving and poor use of LED lights that barely light turns. The radio works great, but when you listen to mp3, the phone or CDs the speaker grate buzzes. The list goes on. Perhaps this all the fault of designing cars on a computer.

I just today had this happen for the first time, at a different station than one of them that I usually hit. I thought of this post that I had read before, and just went to another station, filled OK. Maybe this car has little more pressure or issue that kicks in on touchy pumps.

Have experienced this issue at certain service stations and mentioned to my dealer. There is apparently an MB bulletin indicating that the problem is with service stations that have not updated their vacuum nozzle system to the latest standard.

Would explain a lot if that's true. Just had to fill up the other day for the first time in a while, totally forgot how annoying this is.

dealer says that this the fault of the gas station
brought this up with my dealer, they say it is not fault with car but with the gas station.
I asked people I know with new cars, they never have this issue on their cars, they own 2015 models of Audi A6, Nissan Maxima, Honda Pilot, BMW 4 series, and Mercedes SUV.
I suspect it is design issue for gas tank on this car.
