Hi,

I ordered a C250 petrol last week (leasing) and today they told me that the estimated delivery date is 30 October! Is this delay normal for Europe? I've ordered the 360 camera, is this the reason for delay? I hope we still have euro when the car arrives :-)

That (unfortunately) sounds about right. Mine was ordered in November, confirmed in Jan (dealer delay) and due at the back end of this month.

Ah well, gives you plenty of time to.......... um, well, it gives you plenty of time!

Dealer delay? Did they forget to order or something, I would be pretty P'd off.

Dealer delay = I give them written confirmation to proceed with the order and complete Provide deposit via Debit Card details. Dealer then prevaricates ("oh sorry, I was off last week", "we've been progressing a lot of Handovers this week", etc) until January before I get a copy of the Order sheet. Lo and behold, the confirmed order date is Jan 8th - clearly, the dealer, either a) didn't have any allocation left for Nov or Dec, or b) wanted to smooth their sales to meet targets - either way, the outcome was the same.

And yes, I was p****d off!

I ordered my C180 April 24th last year. Had the keys in my hand June 20th.

yes delay sounds normal. I am in france and ordered mid jan car expected date is mid may. Also have specced the 360 camera but it is a 250 diesel estate. Saw the dealer last week and delivery was on schedule. Sadly i may have to delay delivery a week due to unexpected commitments arising for the delivery week.....oh well what is a few more days wait....

Am sure you will still be in euro by the way!

I ordered mine (C220 Bluetec 7G) in the 3th week of April. Delivery will be October 29th (I hope). I'm in the Netherlands.

Wow. I got my car six weeks after the order was placed and that was a nail biting wait.

C350e sold out here in The Netherlands in less then a month for the rest of the Year.
Reason are some tax advantages when you receive the car in 2015. My went through two weeks ago. Just received confirmation of delivery at the end of august. Should be driving it in september.

Ordered mine october 2014, received late april 2015. Made in SA, shipped to Czech Republic.

I'm awaiting for a C300 Hybrid Bluetec in Portugal.

One dealer could not talk about dates until September, I just give up on them and tried another one.

Found a really nice dealer where they give an acceptable shipping date, about 1.5 months. But last week they call me asking to change my configuration or wait extra 2 months

No option for me unless wait, I want my car with my dream configurations!

The good news for me is that this model is assembled in Germany and not South Africa, reason why the waiting times are shorter.

I think is too bad for a brand like MB make their clients suffer this way...

Few weeks ago I talked with person from dealer who sell me a car. We talked about delivery time (I waited for my car 3 months) and he told that it is so many orders in Europe that smaller markets (like Poland) now will have cars not from Germany but from SA. So delivery times is now not less than 5 months.

Dealer has emailed to say the car has arrived and confirming the original del date of 20th may as per the signed order. Am away 11th to 16th in the south but am going to see if they can deliver mon 18th. Am pleased car has come in on time it has been a long wait. The glk was only 3mths......

Will post comments on build quality and build location when i have the car anticipate it will be germany as it is an estate and we are in france but who knows!

Ok collected this afternoon S205 so an estate 250 bluetec diesel 4matic built at bremen ordered and registered in france. Dealer advised that all sedans/saloons are now coming from south africa but 4matic are only coming from bremen.....not sure why it seems logistically silly unless bremen is undergoing major refurb who knows. Hope this helps folks. Car seems faultless for fit and finish but not had time to really examine, more to follow however 1 unexpected item we got a printed old fashioned manual.............

When I hear the quality issues for the non Bremen/ German built cars, i'm not amused when my car is possibly coming from SA. :-(
