How bright is your ambient light>
All,
I just owned MBC300 Bluetech Hybrid. The car is CKU which is Completed Knock-down Unit. We import parts from Germany but assemble them here in Thailand.
The problem I have is about the brightness of my ambient light. Even i set the brightness at level 5, it still look very dim to me.
Can someone please take a photo with the ambient light set at level 5 and share with me please.
I just want to know if this is the same between CBU and CKU car.
Thanks in advance!
(excuse my english, it is not my primary language)

Bear in mind the wording... 'AMBIENT light'. In other words, its supposed to be subtle. Having said that, mines fairly bright in the doors etc at night. Only the centre console is a bit dimmer, probably because the light is more discrete in the console assembly.
Oh and you're english is very good, far better than my Thai!

Hi rcheenp,
Really glad to see someone from Thailand in this forum. I own a CBU C300 Bluetech Hybrid. Don't think the ambient light will be different from yours. Light cannot be that bright with the black leather and console. Another reason is the angle when you look at it from the driver seat (you should be able to notice a much brighter at the doors compared with mid-console.
We might be only 2 Thais here. Looking forward to seeing more Thais in this excellent forum.

I found that the colour amber on my car is brighter than blue and white. Maybe its just my eyes.
Here is a few pic's i took when i took delivery of my car.

This is a bit off topic, but I have a question about that black plastic trim strip that goes around the outside of the console. It's held in place by a chrome surround and, on my car, is quite loose and moves if I press it with my finger. Is this supposed to be tight, or is some play in it normal? I do have ambient lighting, so I'm not sure if this is related to that or not.

I thought the same thing. They still look dim at 5. Oh Well. Although, BLUE is much brighter than SOLAR (yellow).
What I really hate is that my MB illuminated sills are very dim compared to any aftermarket ones. They are barely noticeable when the door is open and why did MB choose WHITE as the color??

On my 2017 c43, the orange ambient light is brighter than the blue/teal and the white is pathetic.
There is a noticeable difference compared to when having them off tho.
And just tonight, after owning car 2mo, I just realized there was ambient lighting in the foot-wells too!
I’m going to get the turbine-style ambient vent-kit.
