Blind spot assist on red?

Blind spot assist on red?
I noticed many cars with blind spot assist. And for most the warning triangle is yellow/orange. I only get a red warning triangle. Is this normal?

I'll have to double check tomorrow, but I think I get the yellow caution if a lane change could be potentially unsafe and a red triangle if it is definitely unsafe. If it's red, and I use my turn signal I get an audible alarm. The yellow caution may be less visible and that's why it's not as noticeable.
I've only gotten the audible alarm once when a semi truck was in the right lane and I was adjacent to it. The freeway split and the trucks lane was an exit only lane and mine was optional. I signaled to indicate I was exiting right (when next to the truck) and I got the audible alarm.

I have seen many W204 with the amber triangle at a stop light, while our W205 is completely off at stop light.
I also drove two 2015 B-Class loaners where the triangles normally light up amber, and light up red when unsafe to change lanes. Our W205 is normally off, and lights up red when unsafe to change lanes. MB has done a poor job in standardizing these programming logic. The amber light is a feedback to the driver that the system is working properly.

I'm glad to see this! We've only had the car a few days and I heard the alarm a few times and didn't know what it was for, since nothing shows up on the dash. I was in heavy traffic so the red triangles were fairly constant, and (unlike my usual M******* method) I was signalling to tell people I'm coming over eventually anyway!

I have a w204 coupe and it is amber when at slow speeds, red afterwards when someone enters your blind spot.
in the w205, i have never seen amber, only red at speed and someone is in your blind spot.

In the past, the triangle would become yellow to indicate that the system was on, but not active. This was because the minimum speed was not achieved for it to work, so it would turn on at a stop to about 20mph. At speed, there would be no triangle. When where is something detected in your blindspot, the triangle would turn red.
This never made sense to me as to why there would be a light indicating that the system was on, but not going to help. looks like MB has caught on and now there is no yellow light
