Flat tire
I found that I got a flat tire in the middle of driving. I am not sure when the tire was damaged since I did not notice or feel any sharp bumper or pot hole. When I towed my car to dealer, mechanic told me that he needed to check rim and suspension too. Since I bought the car, c300 w205, two month ago without any additional warranty I should pay for at least a tire + labor + tax... Here are some questions I have now.
1) Was I right to bring my car to dealer with such rather easy problem ? I might bring my car to near tire shop...
2) Any guess for estimation ? Dealer did not answer to my question about cost to replace tire or even basic warranty thing.

This is the problem with run-flat tires...they can't be repaired so you have to buy a new one (probably $200+). And if you were half way through the wear of the tires, would you buy one or go ahead and replace all four?

Usually I go to a tire shop with the assumption of lower prices. But I can't say you are wrong to take it to them without knowing their price. If it's close to an outside shops price then why not?
I use tirerack for my tire pricing. I've been able to get install prices as well, but i can't remember if that was only after purchasing.

If I was close to a dealer, I too would have it towed to the dealer if I couldn't drive on the tire. I would want the dealer to check my rim/suspension/and do an alignment. And I bet a tire shop wouldn't have that tire in stock.

Caveat: My C300 is my first car with runflats
Weird pic, as the bead is popped out. I thought runflats had a specially designed bead to prevent the tire from breaking the bead even after a loss of air pressure?
Expect $345-$400 for the tire alone. If you need a rim, get some Vaseline!
I picked up a nail in my runflat at 2K miles. I was 1 min from work when my sensor went off, and never drove on the tire with no air. So I plugged it, and have been driving on it for the last 3 months with no problems.

You already have great replies. I'd ponder how much you'd want to pay to stick with runflats. I would have gone to dealer too in your case, though would want to see a bill and compare to tire shops before committing to them doing the work.
