that color!! is very, really, justifiably, gorgeous! hot damn!! I can imagine how good it looks in person, very nice choice......but the badge has to go IMO....

looks great, I don't even mind all the chrome trim; although it would look **** blacked out

I have to agree. The car went from looking attractive to looking like some infiniti g37- the color is disgusting and the finish as well.

I like it! The wheels are a tad too big for me and while I love blue cars I couldn't live with a matte colored anything...overall I think it's a good looking car.

Looks great, love the color. How much does something like that cost and how durable is it?

Car looks nice but as others have said, the AMG badges really detract from the overall aesthetic. Just embrace the car for what it is - a really good looking non-AMG W205.

every time someone puts on the badge an entire legion of amg owners show up with snide remarks. ridiculous. just go back to your own forums.

Definitely a unique colour scheme. I like the look of it and the fact that you went out on a limb to have it done. Gives the board something new and different to look at. I would probably never wrap my car in that kind of blue but maybe a different colour in the future so its good to see an example of the change a good vinyl wrap can do.
Reminds me of a variation of this AMG GT colour...

Perhaps they have a vested interest... I mean, this isn't an AMG car to begin with so one shouldn't advertise it as one.

IMO the color and car looks fabulous.
No badge is better, but I think the AMG badge looks better in front than on the back.
Enjoy your car - Haters gonna hate anyway.

Disliking something or expressing a negative opinion isn't "hate".

According to Wikipedia:

Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one. The purpose of constructive criticism is to improve the outcome. In collaborative work, this kind of criticism is a valuable tool in raising and maintaining performance standards.
Saying, essentially, "that sucks" is NOT constructive criticism. It's just criticism.

Does having factory AMG carpets, body kit or wheels advertise it any less?

If the OP had put a C63S logo on it I could fathom why people get so upset, but I really don't understand the hatred - What defines an AMG car these days anyway? .. a hand-built engine? What about the C450 that has AMG badges on both flanks of the vehicle?

I think the exclusivity around the use of the AMG logo is diminishing (like it or not) and if people do something different or unique then kudos to them I reckon.

+4

OP, I truly do like everything else about the "build." Good job.

Badging decision was highly questionable though, IMO.

What defines an AMG vehicle: A hand-assembled motor (the engine components themselves are not built by hand). Brake rotors and calipers that are substantially larger/more powerful than the components on standard cars. Entirely different (i.e., more robust, firmer, more aggressive) suspension systems.

What else? True limited-slip differentials for the RWD variants. More robust engine cooling. Wider front and rear tires. Stiffer elastokinematics. Unique, performance-oriented seating and steering wheel options.

I would say those are a few attributes that distinguish AMG vehicles (obviously not an exhaustive list; just the "highlights"). Until a skeptic/"non-initiated" person owns one or has the pleasure of driving one on a circuit, it might be difficult to mentally quantify how much engineering goes into the AMG cars.

I love Benz's "standard" cars too but what the AMG cars are capable of is something else.

Well quite frankly, since Mercedes does offer a AMG styling package on many models, I guess you're right.

Drive an AMG...and you'll know a big difference. It's not hating... Do whatever you want. the only people that will be impressed are folks that don't know the difference..I guess that's the real target audience. Drive safe, happy motoring.
