450 ECU Tuning Results

After tuning GL450 3.0L V6 Biturbo we saw huge gains of +124wTq @3600rpm and +106wHp @4600rpm to all 4 wheels on a 4×4 Mainline Dyno. An unmodified GL450 running CA91 premium pump fuel was dyno tested. Gains can be seen on the pictured graph below, the unmodified Baseline (Blue) vs OE Tuning ECU Tune (Red).
Power and performance ECU upgrade from OE Tuning includes:
Increased Boost Targets (16psi)
Fuel Adjustment
Improved Throttle response
Top Speed Limiter removal
Raised Torque Limits

Could someone simply purchase a second ECU and then proceed to sending it over to you for tuning? In that case, the vehicle wouldn't be out of commission for however long shipping and your tuning takes. Not sure what an ECU costs - I know for my 2016 Acura MDX, an ECU is $300 so I'm guessing it can't be $1000 for the W205 one...
Is there a reason why a second ECU wouldn't work? Is it hard to remove?
Finally, how would a tune like this affect warranty? Would it be something they would find out about and void my warranty as soon as they put the vehicle on their machine? Would they only deny warranty claims that they can prove are caused by the higher boost, etc. of a tune?
Finally, if a person has two ECU's, could one simply revert back to stock before going to the dealer for warranty work?

Remove ECU and send in via overnight shipping for fastest turn around. All ECUs that arrive before 12 noon are guaranteed to be sent back same day as arrival. If you are located close to a flash dealer location that has bench flashing tools then you can have the tune installed at the dealer location. http://www.oetuning.com/dealer-locator
Sure, you will need to buy a replacement ECU through the dealership and have it coded to your car before we tune it. Prices are $1400-2100 usually for MB ECUs.
