burger tuning (BMS) and C400
I noticed that BMS now has a plug and play tune that increases turbo output 3-5 PSI. http://burgertuning.com/mercedes_ben...nce_tuner.html.
has anyone tried this?
I have not been able to find any results or what type of increases this yields on their website.

Been meaning to get to an AWD dyno for results but haven't found the time.

My C400 is tuned on Map 2. I'm in Calgary at high elevation so results aren't quite as good as sea level but I notice huge gains. Definitely worth the low price. Tuning an equivalent Audi S4 with APR is about $1,200.

Also on map 1 after putting the harness on and off a couple times taking the car in for service, I do notice the difference acceleration wise compared to stock.
I live in Toronto, Ontario.

Hi A5HLEY2. I see you running on map 2. I am currently running on map 1 with 91 octane. Did you use a higher octane or ethanol/race gas mix to run map 2?

Super easy. Just push down on the tab and pull out at the same time. You have to push down to disengage the lock when the plug Is snapped in place. Easily down with a flat head screw driver. Yanking does nothing. You have to push down and pull out at the same time on the tab.

Gains on the C450 would be interesting to know, especially since this car is turning out to be a beast compared to the currently offered and soon to disappear C400.

When you say "track", you really mean the parking lot at the local Walmart, right?

"after putting the harness on and off a couple times taking the car in for service"
I have been reluctant to consider a tune out of fear of voiding the warranty. Does the computer log the changes made by applying the tune or is it completely undetectable to the dealer as long as you uninstall prior to bringing the car in for service?
Thanks!

On the C450 AMG Sport I'm ordering I will avoid Burger tuning with my BMW I had it on, there was an increased lag/delay/relay on the paddle shifters when changing gears. Found this out at the track, had to go back to using the auto stick for the fastest shifts. Guess that's what "piggyback" tunes mean.

had a chance to data log and tried a few things with map3
i was able to hit 15.5 lbs of boost.
mostly 13-14+ lbs in mid power band and tapers down as thr rpms climb. this was done in 85d heat, full ac, comfort mode, esp off and 4 gallons of E85
no long freeway pulls. just empty street pulls just below 3 digits.
since OE tuning is hitting 16 lbs i knew running just under that should be ok to try.
i place data logs up later...
very happy i can adjust a bit on my own. without responsibility to the tuner since im taking my first step of customizing stage 1.
hope to keep learning and adjusting.
