What's the difference between Sport mode and Sport Plus?
Today while I was driving, I switched from Comfort mode to Sport+ mode and noticed that the car became more:
Aggressive
Responsive
Sportier
Louder (I could definitely hear the exhaust)
Snappier
Higher RPM than normal and increases really fast
Shifts faster than comfort (I think it did)
...
I think even the braking of the car changed
it became stronger, rougher, more responsive
for some reason I felt like the car was lowered a little while I was driving in Sport+ mode Maybe because I was going a little fast or maybe because of the wind/air
Or it might be my imagination
It felt completely different than Comfort mode. In comfort mode, I don't feel like i'm driving or moving at all, its so smooth (comfortable) compared to the Sport+ which felt like I actually drove the car for the first time
Anyway, So what is the difference between the Sport and the Sport+ mode? I tried the Sport mode two months ago, but I don't remember
What's the point of having Sport and Sport + instead of just Sport mode? Are they that different?

Aren't the agility modes defined in the manual?
edit: I just checked and the info in the manual is quite poor. I'm sure someone will know here.

Sport+ will:
Harden the suspension one step further from Sport. (Airmatic only)
Height is unchanged from Sport
Eco mode turns off
More aggressive gear changes, as well as longer RPM pulls,
ECU changes to alter exhaust sound during shifts.
Steering gets heavier
Might have forgotten a few things but these are the basics.

My understanding is that when you change from comfort to Sport, you get firmer steering and the gear changes are different. The way the differ is simply that the car is allowed to go to a higher RPM before changing up. Nothing more magic than that. Yes, it will make the car 'louder' and feel more aggressive but I think it's purely because of the harder steer and higher revs.
If you have airmatic, it will change the ride as well. I don't have airmatic so I cannot comment.
Difference between sport and sport + is just turning off stop/start if I recall correctly. I did read up on all this stuff when I got the car so it's in the manual but I can't remember whether that was paper, on-line or the one on the car itself

Sport is more agressive auto shift with a bit firmer steering than Comfort. Sport+ is more agressive than Sport. both modes start from D1. Paddle shifter could be used anytime not just Sport+ as I incorrectly indicated earlier. Cheer!!

My C400 with AIRMATIC starts in D2 in Comfort and D1 in SPORT and SPORT+.
In the SPORT modes the shifts are delayed more toward red line with accelerating hard. It also cruises in lower gears with higher revs so that power can be applied quicker without the transmission downshifting.

I'd take a short video to prove it of I still had the car...

I want to add one more thing. I don't know ehether this is a fault in my car or this is normal.
While driving comfort, the car shifts to D7. But while on Sports & Sports+ D7 is not achievable and the car stays on D6 no matter how you relax your foot on the gas pedal.
This is my first Mercedes and would appreciate if someone can confirm the above.
I am driving a C250.

That makes sense. The Agility mode settings give you no additional power, they just make the power you have more rapidly available by using the transmission to hold the engine in the range where it develops the most torque. That's why your car holds a low gear at cruising speed on Sport and Sport +. My C300 does find 7th in every mode but it has a broader power band.

If you you want to go to a higher gear just use the paddles.

Here's the definitions from the 2017 C300 coupes on the different modes. The biggest difference IMO is that Sport+ (and Sport) 1) Increase the weighting of the steering (by reducing the electronic power assist) 2) remap the transmission shift points and settings to hold gears longer and downshift earlier. 3) Remap the accelerator pedal input to be more sensitive. Basically smaller movement in the pedal, results greater response from the engine. 1/4 mile and 0-60 acceleration is probably unaffected (meaning it doesn't unlock any more HP) 4) Stiffer suspension settings (only on cars with AIRMATIC) 5) Electronic Stability Control is less aggressive (intervenes less)
Drive program S+ (Sport Plus)
Drive program S+ is characterized by the following:
-the vehicle exhibits particularly sporty driving characteristics.
-the vehicle pulls away in first gear.
-the automatic transmission shifts up later. The fuel consumption possibly being higher
as a result of the later automatic transmission shift points.
-the suspension exhibits particularly stiff springing and damping settings (vehicles with
AIRMATIC).
-the ECO start/stop function is not available.
Drive program S (Sport)
Drive program S is characterized by the following:
-the vehicle exhibits sporty driving characteristics.
-the vehicle pulls away in first gear.
-the automatic transmission shifts up later. The fuel consumption possibly being higher
as a result of the later automatic transmission shift points.
-the suspension exhibits hard springing and damping settings (vehicles with AIRMATIC).
Drive program C (Comfort)
Drive program C is characterized by the following:
-the vehicle delivers comfortable, economical handling characteristics.
-the vehicle pulls away more gently in forward and reverse gears, unless the accelerator
pedal is depressed fully.
-the vehicle has improved driving stability, for example on slippery road surfaces.
-optimal fuel consumption resulting from the automatic transmission shifting up sooner.
The vehicle is driven in the low engine speed range and the wheels are less likely to spin.
Drive program E (Economy)
Drive program E is characterized by the following:
-the vehicle exhibits comfortable, economical handling characteristics.
-during deceleration, the engine is disconnected from the drive train. The vehicle uses
kinetic energy and consumes less fuel (overrun mode).
-the performance of air-conditioning system and heating are reduced.

In my experience, Sport+ also disables some of the safety features like the blind spot assist; whereas in Sport, the blind spot assist still works.
Not sure if Sport+ also disables traction control?
