Pre-paid Maintenance Non-refundable?
#26
I'm curious what people paid for the pre-paid maintenance. At the time of sale (Feb. 2019) on my 2016 they quoted me $1,995. Subsequently, in this group, I saw people had paid $1,300. Anyone care to share what they paid? I have about a month before my next service, so I need to decide whether to do it or not.

I have the prices for the services. They're readily available from Mercedes. The pre-paid does save you money (provided you follow the service schedule and keep the car for the duration of the service contract).
I'm asking specifically about what others have paid for the pre-paid.
Saving $1,000 might be worth the risk. Saving $200 maybe not in case you get rid of the car.
I got free service with my CPO 2014 W204. I still have another year of service. The service combined with the warranty have saved me thousands of dollars.

I paid $1500 plus tax for a 4 year, 5 year and 6 year service maintenance contract. The CPO I bought was off a 3 year lease and had only 17,000 miles on it. The 3 year service had recently been done. I just had the 4 year service (B) done. I'm not sure what the cost was, but probably around $700. There is a spark plug change at 5 years and a transmission flush at 6 years. The total for the 3 years should be substantially more than $1500.

I paid $850 for 2 year service contact on my new 2020 C300 which now includes brakes. The dealer is paying for 3rd year of service. My lease contact shows I only paid for 2 years. VIP General Sales Manager threw in the 3rd year at no cost to me.

When I purchased my car I really thought this would be a long term car for me so I purchased the pre-paid maintenance program (4yrs/40k miles). Well due to the various issues with the car I ended up taking the hit on it and traded it after just 6 months of ownership. I e-mailed the dealership to ask how I can go about being refunded for the pre-paid maintenance and was told it was a non-refundable product so I then called MBUSA and was told the exact same thing. Is it just me or does anyone else find it unethical to refund a consumer's money for services that were and never will be rendered? ![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

while i was there, they told I needed the 50K mile service, and @60K mile I will be needing trans fluid to be replace, and If I bought the service upfront I will cost about $1000 less. so I did purchased it. Not know it will be total almost a year later. I spoke to the lady @ Ray Catena of Freehold NJ, She said the first service was only $500, So I should be able to get @ least $700. return. in doing the checking the lady said I was not refundable. This was never mention to me when I bought it. She Suggest to call 800-222-0100 spoke to a lady there also she said it was no refundable because there is no cancellation allowed. again they never mention this to me when I bought it. I explained to her that I was not going for cancellation , I told her my totaled from accident. anyway they will not refund the money and kept saying She understood.
To me this is a highway robbery.
