Traffic Info/Mercedes ME/Live Data etc (UK)

A bit offtopic, but I am curious about traffic information.
If I specify destination (actually using navy for routing), information info pops up about queues etc. Fine.
But, is it possible for the traffic information to show warnings when I am NOT actively using routing/guidance? Like yesterday I got stuck into the queue on the highway, no warnings were given. The system had the queue registered though (checked manually) so it wasn't for lack of information.
Reason I ask is (besides being a nice feature) is that the A-class loaner I had few months ago with Becker GPS, did exactly this. It would "sense" any blockage/accident on the highway without me actually using the Navi/routing/guidance.

Where do you find the version number you want?
Mine has been updated today. I've not had time to test it yet. The icon is there immediately on start up... question is, does that mean its working right off the bat or they just stuck the icon on there and it may still take time to work, if at all...
