Traffic Info/Mercedes ME/Live Data etc (UK)
Has anyone else had any issues with live traffic data, mercedes me data and car SOS functions in the last week?
While my SOS shows its available, if I press it, the display simply says connecting for several minutes before timing out. There is no live traffic data and my attempts to see live car data from Mercedes ME shows the data is 9 days old.
Its like the car can't connect and I'm wondering if this is service/comms related or a car issue I need to book in for via service.
Live traffic has always been patchy in remote areas, signal I guess, but it also never seems to fall back into TMC/RDS when live traffic goes off. Its all been off for over a week now.

C300 sport hybrid premium plus package
I got my c300 hybrid premium plus (UK) just over a week ago and since then the live traffic has only worked on two occasions. TMC has never worked thus far. Very annoying issue for an otherwise fantastic car. I have booked it in with the dealer next week to sort it out. I'm still waiting to have my connect me account activated by the dealership. What version is your Map if I may ask?

My car was built in Feb this year, I've no idea what the map version is though. I've booked the car into MB, its a few weeks away due to some of the other niggles but hopefully they will have some updated software by then to improve things.

Never had a problem with live traffic, My Aug 2014 car does not have Mercedes ME, from reading other post the live traffic problems appear to be on cars with ME in the UK.

All working fine on mine.
Mercedes me has had a software release, a couple of days ago, meaning you need to enter a password to lock/unlock. Not sure if it could be related.
What you are describing sounds, very much, like an issue I had when I first tried to connect to Mercedes Me. I had to get a couple of service tickets raised with Mercedes Me tech support - the Services seemed to "hang" when they were updating to the car, meaning the car didn't connect via the Comm Module.
Eventually, they re-built my profile and it has been 100%, since. (Says he, crossing fingers/rubbing Rabbits Foot/throwing Heather over shoulder)!

I did think about a reset by disconnecting the battery but then I looked and I've no idea where it is! Gone it seems are the days where everything is accessible. Its just a mass of plastic covers everywhere. Not to worry, none of it is really important (well I guess SOS could be) so I'll wait for service.
EDIT:
So I just went out to the car, pulled fuse 309 (emergency call system) thinking well if SOS doesn't work, perhaps all comms features are routed via this hence little other comms functions working. Put 309 back in, SOS is working again and also traffic data etc
So I guess I either have a module fault or the software needs updating.

Does one need to activate Mercedes me for the live traffic to work? And can I use the "📞i" button on the above head console to raise the issue or is that button for other issues?

All is working today. Its clearly a fault in hardware or software on the comms module. MB Customer Services have downloaded logs from the car remotely and have informed me its a fault on the comms module as I anticipated and that I've to take it in for service. Already booked in.

2015 C220 AMG Premium Plus Estate (S205)
Mine's been back to the dealer twice for these issues. Both times they applied software patches. Seems to work now but I've given up on it and use classic TomTom as it always works and the software UI is vastly better than Comand Online.
Oh, and Mercedes, you still owe me a start button.

C220 Bluetec Estate (2015)
Dealer also told me that MB are aware of the problem and apparently there is a proper software update due in August. I originally had Live Traffic but lost it about a month ago. Connect ME , I've never been able to get activated. Dealer had it in and got it both sorted very quickly, although did advise me that there are still known issues with Live Traffic dropping out that hopefully will be resolved with August update.

Software on mine just updated. Returned to me with no traffic working. MB inform the dealer it won't work properly until August.

2015 C220 AMG Line Bluetech.
Go to the Manage Services section and enable - you also need to go to the Terms and Conditions and accept the Ts and CS for each Service (otherwise they will not be enabled in your car).
After this, they will get sent to your car - on mine, this proved an issue as this bit got "stuck" - the Help desk (contact via "I am getting an error message" under Help, soon sorted (they had to re-build my profile). Since then it's been fine.

Its a real pain especially as the basic sat nav on a colleague's C220 works fine and gives traffic info. I have to use Google Maps on my phone for traffic info! MB do not seem to be taking the problem seriously and cannot understand why I am upset because I paid extra for something that does not work.
* I was in London area last week and it suddenly worked there but stopped after I left the area!!

Apparently the issues were worst in Belgium (no signal ever!), so maybe they released the update first over here. But try asking your dealer for the status anyway.
BTW, MB is taking it seriously, but they are very quiet about it so it won't harm their image.
