EQE 500 4MATIC replacing EQC 4matic AMG line P
soooo disappointed
My second brand new mercedes 16th new car overall.......and first failure to occur so quickly. Car was collected 20th may and has covered 1925km and today i discovered the drivers seat back has parted company with the frame. It seems the 2 clips holding the seat back to the frame at the top have become unstuck, they have fallen down into the seat. So a trip to the dealer. It has been unusually warm here (france) but not hot compared to many places in the world....
Like many i am disappointed to have any problem given the cost of the car but it is only a minor issue just hope it is a one off!

Do you have warranty? This is really not that big of a deal. Just bring it in. Should be fixed within hours.
Even Bentley's have issues. A good friend of mine is a SA for Bentley. You'd be surprised with some of the issues they have. And those cars are 5 times the cost of ours.

I had the front suspension go out with about 1,000 miles on car. Told dealer what I thought was wrong and he said no way. Found out what I said was wrong, was correct. They said they had to order part because car was new and that part never goes bad. Oh well. I never had a car have something major go wrong with that little mileage. When you use cheap parts on expensive car things go wrong I am still upset about navigation system since Mercedes switched to garmen to mfg the units in 2014. garbage in garbage out.

Hi yes it is a c class estate replacing a glk.
Went into the dealer today and they have fixed it, they think the glue holding the 2 clips which hold the top of the seat back onto the frame had not been applied thickly enough And the hot weather caused it to fail. They have reglued the clips and all is refitted. They assured me they use a professional glue as good as the factory.....so fingers crossed. Cannot fault the after sales service in seeing and remedying the problem immediately.
My sales rep was there too so i had a moan but it is true minor probs will inevitably arise from time to time but it is just so upsetting when they do.
And if it was a major problem i would have been even more annoyed! As ever once mended soon forgotten....
