Something funny... But may get someone into trouble!
Not Sure if anyone has had this "problem" or posted something but i havnt seen anything so far on the forum....
Its more funny than a problem to me personally.
I was driving home the other night in London, on a main road which is 30 Mph Speed limit, Im driving behind a bus so im going quite slow, i catch a glimpse that something has come up in the drivers display, so I look down, and it says " 70MPH Speed Limit". I drive past this road on a regular occasion and i know there is no speed signs or any signs for it to of read that and its not a motorway so it cant be 70mph lol. I look up at the bus which has the bus route number on the back "170" and realised it could of only got "70mph" from the bus! How the camera did that i don't know! But it changed it on my satnav to a 70mph road LOL! I found this more funny than a problem. It seems to be ok as i went down the road today and its back to "30mph" on the satnav. I dont know if anyone has experienced something like this? But i guess to drivers just make sure you dont get caught out!

As usual, tech is not infallible and Mercedes point out this is an assistive information display and its down to you to really know. I've not had it say the wrong speed yet, but I'd always double check.

Marvellous - I guess it confused the bus number with an overhead gantry sign!
TBF - if you were stupid enough to floor the throttle, in the middle of a town - while following a double-decker bus, just 'cos the Traffic Sign Assist says you can - then you would deserve everything the Magistrate could throw at you!
