MY16 19" black rims only available with night package?

I ordered a MY16 C300, black with the 19" standard color rims initially then after watching some videos I decided to go for the black-insert ones. I was just told the 19" black-insert rims are only available if you order the night package?

I actually much prefer the chrome look especially on a black car. Is there any way I could get a set of the black version without ordering a night package or buying the rims separately?

I even offered to just pay the $300 for the night package but have them not use the actual black parts. Not sure if that's possible.

good call on not wanting the night package on a black car. plus, the chrome around the windows isnt shiny, it's really more of a brushed/flat chrome so it looks much better on the dark cars.

best of luck trying to figure out the wheels, i am so happy i fought hard to find a car that came with them

Looks like that is the case for 2016. In 2015, you can get either 19" version with just the sport package (or the C400)

I just happened to see a C300 with the silver 19s yesterday parked on the side of the road and it was looking great. Car was either Iridium or Palladium, too dark outside to tell. I think I'll just stick with my black, chrome trim, and the silver 19s!

I was also debating between the standard 19" vs the black-insert 19's when I ordered my C400. I ended up going with the standard grey 19's but after a few weeks decided on the black inserts but by that time the car was already in production so changing them would've meant delaying my delivery another month which I definitely did not want to do. Dealer said he would swap out the wheels with another one on the lot with the black inserts but didn't think he would have any on the lot so I might put up a thread in the future if anyone wants to trade. In Canada we don't have the option for the night package and I believe 19's are only available for C400's, not C300's.

Yeah my dealer offered the same to just swap them with another car but they had none with black-inserts. The regular 19s look great in person. I saw the black-insert 19s once but it was a bit dirty. Clean it probably would've looked much better. I'm going to throw up a thread in August to offer to trade if anyone just happened to have black-insert 19s and preferred the standard ones.

interesting, my dealer refused flat out to swap the standard wheels with black ones from another in the lot. I asked them a dozen times as the configuration i wanted was super rare and i couldnt build a C from scratch

Well seeing as how in both cases the dealer had non to actually swap, they could've just made that up to seem like they were looking out for us when they never had any real intention

lol let's hope not. Since neither of our cars are ready yet we could always make daily visits to the dealer to physically inspect inventory

Ahh you haven't received it yet? Why not go for the MY16? Maybe that along with the black 19s might be worth the wait. Just drive a rental car if you need. That way when you get your C400 it'll be that much better

I can still keep driving my '03 C240 (see signature) because it still runs great (its going to be my winter beater) but MY16 won't be the c400 anymore it will be the c450 and that is looking like a $7,000 increase over the c400 which when coupled with all the options I got for the car - sport package, premium package, leather, ventilated seats, metallic paint....would make it close to c63 pricing territory. I guess the c400 is a good middle ground between the c300 and c63 in terms of price and power whereas the c450 seems to me to be closer to the c63 in terms of pricing.
Then again, as more people get the car there will be a lot of different aftermarket wheel looks out there so I may just get aftermarket 20s like VIC
***update today dealer says car is on its way... should be here next week

A couple threads over the base c450 is reported to have a $50,800 base price, so only about $2k more than the outgoing c400 no?

lol yea I've seen the thread on the 'released base price for the c450' - lots of c400 bashing Canadian pricing and options are different than U.S and so far there's no info on that - dealer info and from what I've read is it'll probably be a bigger difference in price for us up here. Likely even if I were able to put an order in, I wouldn't receive delivery til end of September or probably October. My whole plan was to enjoy the car over the Summer and Fall and store it in the winter so getting the C450 so late in the year just to drive it two months before storing it would suck for me.
Oh well, the way I see it, is it's not the last car I'll ever buy - if it was I would put all my marbles in the c63s lol

W205 UK C300 hybrid
Not available in the uk

I really wanted these wheels, but could not spec as a factory option in the UK ..... Worse still I couldn't even order them as an accessory even though they are in the brochure!

I hate the way Mercedes only allow certain options in certain countries "here's what you could have ordered ....if only you had been sensible enough to live in Germany" .....

Does anyone know the strategy behind this????

I guess maybe in certain countries if they don't get their 19" black rims they go buy an Audi instead

Whereas for me in the US they might know I'll rant for a day or two on the forums but still buy the Mercedes anyway after. Who knows

lol yeah i saw that....started friendly then someone got upset who just got a c400 (which btw is understandable, i'd be pi#$ed!)

Cheers anyway, just thought id point out the pricing!
