Wind noise updates
Thanks
I told them that was not acceptable, that there had been other complaints and asked them to log the fault directly with MB so that should a resolution/TIPS become available, I am notified of any resolution.
Looks like I'll have to pester and wait.

They can change some weatherstripping and such to help you. My dealer got the acoustic glass specially installed. It's much better. Good luck with your fight. You're not alone. This will make fighting the IRS look easy, but it's doable. Stay nice. Stay on them.

Long story short, I had ordered to purchase a C, it came, I looked over the car with the sales manager who is a friend of mine. She agreed...it was too loud, there were too many issues with the car, they actually called MB, and had them pick up my car to return it to the factory on a truck as it was "subpar" and the dealer didn't want it on their books. Since then, they're returned a lot of C300s to Vance Alabama. That got the attention of MBUSA. The dealer said they would do everything possible and ordered me a new one which I have leased with option to purchase. It came 5 weeks later with bumper and other items more in spec, but wine noise present. They said to MB they would refuse this car as well unless they did something about it. MBUSA consistently says, it's NORMAL, but it's louder wind nose than anything else made. In the end, they paid for glass to be sent from Germany and installed. It made a difference. It took a lot of calls and agreement of the dealer.
It's beyond me why they don't offer the acoustic glass standard or at least as an option here. Its lighter, costs just few dollars more, but even a base Chevy Malibu comes standard with it now. Really cuts the frequency of noise of cars passing and wind, they say by 800% or so. Not sure if it's that much, but helps. They did recently add it to the W212 options in the USA, though it doesn't show online, your dealer can spec out acoustic glass.
