Are the front seats different on the Sport Option from those on the Luxury?
I have the optional leather seats. If you cant get comfortable in a seat that adjust 14 ways you have most definitely an anatomical problem. The seats are not plush but they are extraordinarily comfortable. Ive also used the regular seats which are likewise very comfortable just not infinitely adjustable and less
bolstered.

Well, now having owned a C300 Luxo, these seats are mighty fine. I was really skeptical of mercedes seats while putting in my order, but was I a fool. Off course, they are not cushiony like Lexus/Caddy, however the quality is a work of art, better than Lexus/Caddy, I have the MB-Tex, they are stitched flawlessly, the lumbar support is gorgeous.

As I'm writing this I'm sitting sideways! This has been happening since I got the car! I'm only 5'1 and 130 lbs ,I drive the car for pleasure but it's not worth the pain!!!!!!

Been there, not with the C, but it is the most frustrating, depressing issue when you're dealing with it. I actually had an upholstery shop tear down and rebuild and repad the upper seat backs in a brand new A5 and still couldn't keep the car.

Here's a little trick I learned: custom pad the seat. Put support exactly where your body needs it to be comfortable. It takes a little experimentation but it can't be any worse than constantly adjusting the seat and never making progress.

You will need;

A set of sheepskin seat inserts from www.comfysheep.com.

A couple of sheets of 1/2" thick medium density foam from a craft store.

Install the inserts. The front end just hangs so I put a safety pin through the front edge and use a couple small bungees under the seat to secure it. The rest has its own attachment system.

Cut a piece of foam a little less than the width of the insert and slide it between the insert and the seat back where you need more support. Put a sheet on the seat bottom too. If you're having tailbone pain, cut a little "U" out where your tailbone hits to get the pressure off. The insert will hide the foam from view and hold it in place.

The combo of the sheepskin, which alone is a big improvement in comfort, plus the 1/2 foam should be plenty, but go to 3/4 or even an inch thick foam if necessary.

Here's a generic shot of an insert.

I have them in the C with padding for the seat bottom, which is too firm and makes my bony *** hurt after awhile.

If nothing else this is a great advert for extended test drives.

Yep, although it can take some time for whatever it is the seat aggravates to first get sore, and then stay chronically sore. I was lucky enough to get a two week test drive while the S was in the shop. Ideally, rent one and take it on a long trip. See if/when you begin squirming in the seat.

Another thing that sucks is everyone telling you you're nuts, or them explaining how the seats are the most comfortable they've ever had, so there's something wrong with you.

Seats are ergonomically designed to suit the vast majority of body types, but some designs do manage to hit a certain minority of people in precisely the wrong way and make them miserable. Being miserable (and trapped) in your new Mercedes sucks.

i'm 5'10" 230 lbs, all beer belly.

i find the seats firm and somewhat comfortable. mine are the sports seats.

however, i do admit it needs some more cushioning under my big a$$.

Can anyone post a picture of base seats vs sport seats? We don't seem to get both options in Canada for the C300.

The difference is almost imperceptible. The side bolsters on the seat back are slightly more prominent on Sport.

yea they look very similar but they fit me completely differently. the 2 loaner cars ive had i've always felt way more comfortable in my own sport seats. the base seats are fine, just not as snug as my sport seats

I think it depends on the width of your upper body. The Sport seat fits like it was made for me. The Base seats were looser.

Mercedes-Benz C300 (2016), Mercedes-Benz GLC300 (2017)
I came across this thread trying to search for why I cannot get comfortable in our C300. My wife primarily drives the C300, and I primarily drive our g37x. The only thing I can seem to attribute my problem to is the seat width (i.e. sport seat side bolsters). I can drive for hours on end in the g37x, but 20-30 minutes in the C300 and my upper back (between shoulder blades) begins to ache.

I am a bit overweight, and the seats basically squeeze me. I so desperately want to be comfortable in this car because my g37x lease is up in 2 months and 1 of our options was for the C300 to be my primary car, getting a GLC300 or other small SUV for my wife.

When I compare positioning in the 2 cars, I am very similarly positioned (distance from the steering wheel and pedals, height, level of recline, etc.). I wish there was an adjustment on the side bolsters.

Build up the center section of the seat back with a thin piece of foam from your local craft store. The side bolsters taper outward from the center. By building up the center, you position your shoulders further forward, where the bolsters are less restrictive. Try a 1/2" thick piece to start. It usually doesn't take much. The easiest way to cut the foam to fit is with an electric carving knife.

Once you get it the way you want it, hide the foam with a seat insert from Comfy Sheep. (Comfysheep.com). I have one in my car if you need a pic, although I used mine to build up the seat bottom.

After you finalize the padding ( it'll take a few weeks of trial and error, plus your upper back muscles are already sore) you can use spray adhesive to permanent attach the foam to the seat insert. In the meantime it'll look bad and slide around a bit.

A generic pic of an insert:
